This is from the "Cats" episode on Nature, hosted by George Page, which originally aired during KPBS' Pledge Lite Membership Campaign since Sunday August 16th, 1987, and then rebroadcasted during the 1990's!!
Since the High school shooting in Santee, CA at the top of this broadcast which occurred 2 days ago on March 5th, I'm guessing that this WJHL Newscast must have been aired on March 7th, 2001 not in January
Correction: These commercials were from actually from Monday Nov. 16th, 1987 not September 27th, just because it was Night 1 of the mini-series Poor Little Rich Girl, along with the top of the brochure previewing the stories ahead on NewsCenter 39. Could you fix that mistake?
Yeah, it's great having original programming, but I miss the channels like AMC, A&E, MTV, etc and the little niches that they carved out for themselves.
@@backanera Yeah. AMC was a part of my childhood growing up. I remember back in late 2003 I got hospitalized to have some surgery done on me. In the days leading up to the procedure, I had AMC as one of the channels on the television in my suite. Most kids at my age would have sulked bitterly that there was no Cartoon Network or Nickelodeon to watch. But for me, seeing AMC was a treat especially since the first time I ever watched it around the time I was going to start kindergarten. The first movies I saw was the 1950 conclusion of John Ford's cavalry trilogy Rio Grande. And two fantastic kaiju movies, Godzilla--King Of The Monsters! from 1956 and 1995's Godzilla vs Destroyah. Fast forward to a few years later and the night I was admitted, I got glued to the set watching the awesome 1970 historical epic Tora! Tora! Tora! Fantastic film it is. What was even more surprising is that the nurse attending to all the patients on the floor that night told me that everyone else was watching it too. How about that. Thanks for ♥ my comment.
