Could you share what you referenced for the FTM-6000 connections to the URIx? I'm going to build a simplex node, but can't find the references to interface the radio properly.
After the loss of our club president ,myself and another club member were elected to do repeater maintenance . We actually have 2 of these, one as a backup incase there's problem we can just swap them out . Well ,now our repeater clock is wrong (even with the extra module) and we also want to switch a few things around with linking the 2 repeaters,so I may be pinging you with a few questions ,once we get the 2nd controller and the laptop with the software .. Thanks for putting up this video .. N3TVV
I know that work & life get in the way sometimes, but any chance you could work on Part 3 of the series soon? I bought an ARCOM RC210, and man, this is the by far the hardest thing I've ever tried to program. I honestly think the person(s) who wrote this firmware went way over the top on what was needed for a simple 3-port controller. It took me a week to figure out how to record a simple DVR message, put it into a DVR slot. And you aren't done! Then, you have to use another database that points to that DVR message, it has to be in a certain slot range, but you can't play it back with the "regular" command, you have to use a different command when the controller is unlocked. Yikes!! I chose this controller because of the RTC and scheduler. The thing I am stuck on now is how to make an alarm input work. It looks like there are three different things I need to do there also for a simple door alarm. Thank you for your work thus far, it has hellped me a LOT! Arcom's manual seems to jump all over the place, and it is not organized in a logical order. I rely on nice folks like you that make easy-to-understand RU-vid videos that make sense. 73, K6KCP
Do I need this type of controller if I want to link 2 repeaters? Im thinking of linking 2 repeaters by using frequencies and tones (One repeaters input is the others output having same RX pl tone ). Is this possible?
Not yet. I have a single antenna with a duplexer. But one of my experiments (someday) will be to test vertical separation for separate antennas. That will be fun to try!
Hello dear OM Thk U for your video. Could you give me the reference of the switching power supply included in your DR2-X, please sir ? I have the DR2-XE model: E for Europe. And in Europe this transponder is sold without its AC 100 - 240 Volt power supply. It is only 13.8V DC! Thank you very much and happy holidays 2023 73's and Friendships
Great videos. Please continue with the series. We are trying to schedule messages and just can't seem to get the hang of it. We have made .wav files, made the patch cord but that's where it stops. Any help would be awesome. Cheers, N6WIP
Better check around the so239 connector and make sure it has drain holes , also don't forget to seal and or tape the fiberglass to aluminium spot on the bottom so you won't get water in it
Hi I have a SB200 I was looking and I'm seeing that the diode and resistor is missing on the swr bridge what value is the diode and resistor thank you?
As a RF user of the repeater, I am really enjoying the fruits of your efforts, Charles. Thank you for your time and effort in everything you do for the Amateur Radio community!!
Just got my 1481-B so the video on that was a help. Was wondering if you work any of the HF here in AK. Wondering if it is actually worth it here in South Central.
Thank you for watching and commenting! I have neglected my ham radio channel. I have freed up the controller from the yaesu repeater, so I have more opportunity to pull it offline and make these videos.
great video, bands have been hot for several weeks on FT8, 18-10 M during daylight following gray line. 30m starting as gray line arrives here in Fairbanks, have seen my signal into India and Israel, have heard Africa but unable to get into there from here. KL1AZ
Hi! I've been looking at putting a tower up here in Nikiski, and I was wondering if you could share information on the pully system you used to lift the pieces up? Was that home-made or something you purchased? Thanks!
alot of people were trying to get me to dump fixing my acc rc96 and go to a arcom, so far people have been telling me these are a night mare, and from the looks the ACC is constructed alot better than the arcom. all the chips are socketed in the acc so they can be easly programed or swapped. what software issues or bugs have you run into so far?
900Mhz is an interesting band, one minute you are talking to someone then the next you are picking up half of a phone conversation from an old cordless phone someone is still using.
