"Love by Grace" is a song by the Belgian singer Lara Fabian. It was released as the fourth single of her self-titled album. The ballad was a smash hit in Brazil and was part of the soundtrack of the Brazilian hit soap opera Laços de Família.[1] The song became the most played song in Brazil during the 2000 year and became a classic in the country, due to the inclusion of the song on the soundtrack of the soap opera Laços de Família.[3] The song became the theme from Carolina Dieckmann's character "Camila", who had cancer. While shaving her head, the song was played in the background and this became one of the most memorable scenes from a soap opera in the country.[4] It was the most played song in Brazil in the 2000s. The Dooyoo review was extremely positive, and it said: "This is a beautiful song - beautifully sung and arranged. Originally recorded by Wynonna Judd in the album Revelations, the country feel has been stripped from the song and in Fabian's hands it becomes a stunning ballad. For me Lara Fabian has the most beautiful voice of her generation. She is untuchable when it comes to storytelling and performing and how she makes people feel the songs. This song made Lara Fabian a star in Brazil when it was used in the soundtrack of a famous local soap opera called Laços de Familia. It topped the brazilian charts for a few months and she was invited in all major brazilian tv shows. Then the song became a recurrent in almost every single brazilian singer contests, the ultimate song to prove your vocal power. So a lot of brazilian covers including a famous recent one from Gabriel Henrique. It was used again for another soap opera titled "O Clone" and became another big hit in Brazil 😀 Unfortunately no live recording available of her delivery of this other song, just the audio record.
