What Note format do you follow? I’d love to see that. My not taking is a bit off and/or doesn’t seem enough. Again, I’d like to get to know your format
Hi I just found your channel and really enjoy your content. I was wondering if you had any Hospital social worker essentials that you found really handy or helpful to have in that environment. Thanks : )
The Scentivas are my favorite!!🧡 I hide my Grapefruit ones from my husband so he doesn’t go through them fast 😄 Really came in handy when leaving a patient’s home or ALF, and I needed to clean off my supplies, before driving to my next visit. My car would smell so good when I’d wipe it down after completing visits for the day.
Hey Beautiful. Thanks so much for showing your journey. I'm currently in grad program for Master of Social Work ,year in August. I'm working at hospital as tech now, mainly In ED but with mental health/ Behavioral health. Could you give recommendations for program or internships? How did you become social worker in hospital setting? Blessings
I worked as a tech in a hospital for a handful of years. I actually kind of like the late shifts. I even did nights for a while but was moved to days out of need. I always felt like the late crews were very mellow people but that could just be my experience. The new apartment looks fantastic. The kitchen especially, fridge envy. I was considering moving to Florida for working on my MSW but I have heard that social work pays a lot less in Florida than most states. Is medical social work better off? I suspect if I did my MSW there that I could see myself putting down roots.
Howdy! Fellow social worker here! Do you have to have your LMSW to work as a medical social worker? I know regulations may vary from state, but thought I’ll ask away
Hi! For the state of Florida I am not required to be license to work in the medical field. Compared to other states you're required to be licensed. I am currently a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern and have not taken the exam yet.
@@tanajastancil245 Hi! That’s not what I’ve gathered from her question however I’ve already obtained my Masters in Social work. Depending on the state, employers do require you to be licensed or registered to work in the hospital setting.
I’m excited to move too next week 😍🧡! I’m excited for you too and god bless you and your friend for getting such a nice house love love love it 🎊. Congratulations 🎉!
@@MyAnhLuong I hate moving too but you keep my hopes up that there is a dream house and that we’ll accomplish that goal at some point in our lives 😍💪🏼. Thanks for the motivation. 🧡🧡🧡🧡
yassss i am actually on time and just finished it! love love love it everything about it is amazing no details left behind. Girl, I can not wait to see your next content on how it's actually run in the hospital for how discharged goes and what a social worker does during the night shift. Also, can you do a morning shift one too unless it's similar to night shift then nvm. Anyway's you make me want to be a Social Worker even more and I really got my hopes high for how it's going to be. What are some tips on how to study for an undergrad and just starting Social Work classes? Sites to use for studying before quizzes or finals, etc. I'm going to Northampton Community College in Bethlehem, PA and classes start 8/27/24.
I am all caught up with your videos! omg they are all amzing and very well explained. I definitely can not wait to start my courses of becoming a social worker. I want to give back to the community and help people with what i've been through. Thanks for the motivation speeches and really love your contents. Keep going girly; you got this! also, i got the book you showed towards the end and haven't started it yet because i am currently reading "How emotions are made" it's really good! definitely recommend!
@@JasColeWood no way! I’m from DC. My mom lives in PG county now though lol interesting! I did hear though, it’s hard to transfer your license from other states to Florida. However it’s easier to transfer a FL license to other states. Why? I’m not sure lol.
@@MyAnhLuong what?! No way. Small world. My dads side are all in pg/dc! But yea I heard that about the license! They say a Maryland license for the most part will transfer anywhere but it gets tricky when trying to transfer to NY, CA, or FL.
Really enjoy watching your videos and experience and social work. I'm also in South Florida and working on my MSW, so its nice to see the behind the scenes of working in the hospital. Do you plan on getting your LCSW eventually?
Oh nice! What grad program are you currently attending? If you don’t mind sharing. I am currently working on studying for my exam actually lol I failed it already so I’m just studying at this point to retake it.
I'm at USF in their online MSW program. I've heard alot of people fail the first time, especially in Florida. I'm sure second time around you'll be fine.
Hi MyAnh! I am a silent viewer. :) I find such comfort in your videos! They are very informative as well, which is something of importance to me as I am a student currently for SW. Xx!! ❤
Im 30 heading back to school for a Social Service Worker Diploma, just discovered your videos and you make me so excited to one day work in the field! I've waited a long time to understand my passion; your videos are so natural eeee! thanks for sharing your life!
I’ve spoke to so many people who said it took them multiple times to pass but not going to lie it has made me feel some what incompetent. I know that’s not the case but it’s still frustrating.
Thank you so much, you are so concrete about the information you give to us. I'm doing a procces to apply to a case manger vacancy, so your video was very usefull!!
Hi! I’m not sure what underboard nurse is so please forgive but you have to be a registered nurse to be an RN case manager and may require to obtain a case management certificate. I hope this helps!
I just got hired at a hospital as a social worker in Broward County and your videos are helping me so much, thank you for taking the time to make these!
thank yo so much! Honestly, I'm not even sure. My nail tech just knows how long or short I like my nails or I just eye them. The shape is almond but sometimes I do ask him to make it a little bit pointier lol.
Hi MyAnh, thanks for your video. I wonder if the work that you are doing is particularly for the ER since medical social work might differ depending on the positions. Could you explain a little about your role please? Thanks!
