It’s quite fascinating to see scholars like professor Bahiru get the platform like this one so they can share their immense knowledge and experience with this generation. His book 📕 was one of highly demanded books in our library @Bahir Dar University back in 2011 (GC).
What an interesting example of South African history. Also, Ato Fasica Sidelel mentioned it as one "white South African told him both of us the blacks & whites came to South Africa, but the land belongs to the indegenious people of [San]." Which i did not know before. Belewal - & believed him as if that White Man is100% correct. Yes, it is half truth, but Ato Fasica shouldn't take it seriously unles to strengthen his beliefs of long-term interactions of Ethiopians. South Africa was formed as a republic, when the Afrikaners inspired by the Great Trek movement inserch of promised land (whose promise). Remember the then role of Afrikaner Calvinisim & political Zionisim & its heavy influence on whites in Cape Town, who are moving up to the North of South Africa (close to Zimbabwe) and the Zulu people who are a part of the Great Bantu language group whose movement began from West Africa prior to 2000 years before reached around 15th century and even crosed the Limpopo Rever ( around Mozambiq ) Yes since the 15th Century the poor whites who where working at the British ships was setteled around Cape Town. The North wardly movement of the poor whites and the thousands of years gradual movement of the Bantu language speaking groups - Zulus. Yegena nalu its this Fiticha & the discovery of Gold & Diemond in the 19th century which led to the formation of Aparthied South Africa. Pls see the book by Bernard Magubane, "The Making of A Resist State : British Imperialism & the Union of South Africa." 1875- 1910" In addition to that. Pls see the book by Shula Marks ( relatively Liberal historian) it will show u a very long history of South Africa. I am not trying to undermine uŕ ideas, but i am trying to show how it's going to be very difficult to someone whose worldview is changed from one extreme to the other.
