This channel takes its name after the New Order song, of course (the avatar is a clue). Mostly aimed at giving exposure for good independent music in the SF and Bay Area, though will occasionally venture farther afield, in both time and space, as well as mission...with the occasional forays towards my own inner space, in the forms of my nascent compositions. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride. updates AT new DASH order DOT net for requests / feedback / suggestions / things to share…
aka "The Bloody Boy LP". www.discogs.com/release/13904202-Drowning-Pool-Untitled I actually don't have a copy on hand, but let me look to see if it's been posted somewhere...
Can anyone identify the EXACT model of keyboard here? I know they played Farfisas, and it sounds like a Farfisa, but I can't find any Farfisa model that looks like that.
Best I could find as a reference is this…it is probably a Farfisa of some sort but maybe not a common one, perhaps it’s grey and the lighting makes it look different, I’m by no means expert on the topic so pls be kind! www.synthhistory.com/post/interview-with-tim-gane-of-stereolab
The person who wrote the concert report failed to mention that NO did not play til 1am in the morning is was at the show in Fullerton two days after tiny venue were brilliant played Santa Monica civic on the low life tour two years later
Salutations from the other side of the world for a lovely and touching performance🤩 - it’s great to hear it again nearly 40 years after it was written. Don’t think we ever got such a big cheer!
Wow I was at this gig, some guy at 6th form saw my duran badge. And said his sister was a ballet dancer and had been given 2 tickets for that evening. "Go baby, go go!" Shirley is goddess! Incredible charisma and one of a kind vocals. Her bandmates might also be some of the most underrated musicians out there. Garbage is gold!
