As Indonesian I'm confused. Why are these people looked different than Indonesians today? It's like they're from a totally different ethnicity than ours today? It's like if we randomly grabbed a modern day Jakartan and put them there, even wearing the same clothing, they'll still be looking so out of place among them. Strangely that picture of Mr. Krueger at 2:17 is more representing of common Indonesian today than the "Indonesians" on the documentary, and he's supposed to be the Dutch?

Mecca is an ever-evolving city. You can see then that Mecca had been continuously rebuilt to cater to the pilgrims' needs for housing, logistics, and other needs. It's a shame that historical buildings were torn down by the Saudi government tho for the pilgrims' needs. Now, Mecca's Haram district is so modern looking that one will not feel that it is an ancient place. This cause some anti Islam netcitizens to falsely claim that Mecca's status and the Prophet were fabricated stories due to the absence of historical evidence.
