They have an mobile app that connects to it via bluetooth and it give you more data, like possible parts for the repair depending on the code. Really cool stuff, i wasnt aware of all those other menus! Thanks for sharing
I just used the 5210 on a Kawasaki ninja 400 and the graph of the live data fuel trim is excellent,,,,lets you know when something is wrong because trim should be close to 0%.👍
if the scanner is showing only an EVAP and all of the codes are all solid not blinking related to the EVAP your good in Ca. and you're going to be taking your car in for smog remember there a run cycle test that will check all your evap systems.so if you erase the EVAP it's possible that you're going to erase everything in sequence on the computer related to the EVAP. this means you're going to have to run your car again for certain amount of Miles doing certain types of stopping and going in traffic and spend money on gas to get your computer recalibrate the codes. This calibration only can be done by running your car. remember a check engine light will guarantee you not to pass smog. an incomplete system check will also make you not pass smog. so make sure you don't delete everything that has been initialized as good by accident. and don't learn the hard way like I did.
Just bought one came last weekend. Did the update before trying it on my car . The Advance trac on my cars light up and starts flashing and I could get to clear even though I’ve clear the codes. And also the ObD2 scanner fails to communicate . Very frustrating now I have deal with that annoying advance trac flashing on my dashboard.
I Tried the same app it does the Bluetooth connection but not the ecu part, this with normal Bluetooth option (not able) on android Tried in 2 cars, any idea ?
I have an ANCEL FX5000 and updated the firmware for Subaru via wifi. Issue is, this scanner cannot able to connect to my 2018 Subaru XV/Crosstrek and keeps on saying "communication error to ECU" even before and after the update. Anyone knows how to fix this?
did anyone have problem with the ancel fx5000 connecting to wifi, i have tried three different wifi's and i even tried my hotspot and it keeps telling me that wifi can not connect but i can use every wifi connect i have to connect to other things i have in my home doesn't make any sense to me at all.
Its a bit confusing because it functions differently for different vehicles, i saw a video where the ford live data for misfires came right up but my toyota doesnt have the same option for misfires. Im just trying to figure out why I have a rough idle, i already swapped in a set of new spark plugs and nothing changed, i was hoping to see which cylinder(s) are misfiring so i could swap in a new coil and or injector

Do you have to pay every year in order for this OBD reader to work ? If you dont pay does that still work ? Do you need to have internet to used it ? If you don't updates does that still work without updates ? Out from the box can you used it without wifi or internet ? Can this scan for Fuel Pressure ? And can this scan for compression test ? The first and simplest cause for this code is low ATF level - none of the hard/software can work properly if there's insufficient fluid for the system to control.
