Oh, I'm just a guy embracing his inner lazy bum. Food. Sleep. Music. What else is there? Oh yeah, I also make (generally guitar based) Synthesizer V songs with SOLARIA, Tsurumaki Maki, Eleanor Forte, Koharu Rikka, and Qing Su! (I used to use Vocaloid with Gumi, Avanna, Miku, Amy, Ken, and Kaori, but...the end is the end, know what I mean?)
You can right click under the Arrangement section and choose "Create a New Instrumental Track" and then you can choose a wav file (you would think that to do it, you would go to Menu and choose Import, but that's a different thing). Or, simply drag and drop your wav file onto Synthesizer V. It will create the instrumental track for you. You can do it with an mp3 file, but Synth V will ask if you want to convert it to wav. You should always say yes because with mp3 files, the speed could be variable. Synth V will convert it to wav for you.
Did you create the vocal in Synth V with audio to midi and then somehow swap it with the RVC you created of your own voice? So curious about the process - very cool
No, I always create my melodies by placing notes on the piano roll in Synthesizer V. I find it gives me the most flexibility in my options for note choices as I'm creating the melody.
It basically boils down to just keep practicing. Just keep writing. Eventually it will come more naturally to you. It's just like learning to talk. When you have a conversation with someone, you don't have to stop and think about it, right? You just do it. It's the same with writing. Don't worry about trying to create some masterpiece. Give yourself arbitrary topics to write about--like it's a homework assignment. Write about being stuck in traffic. Write about being caught in a rainstorm. Again, it doesn't matter if you're interested in the subject. Treat it like an assignment. The other thing that can help is using AI. I know a lot of people freak out about using AI, but use it as a tool to help your writing rather as a gimmick to write the song for you. Google Gemini, ChatGPT, try them out. Give them a subject and specify how many lines you want, the structure (verse/chorus/verse/chorus, etc), and see what they come up with. Then edit and revise it (the lyrics they generate can be pretty cheesy).
You've got me thinking. I've been using Suno then separating the vocal, putting it through musicfy using my trained vocal and it was terrible but also terrible with their trained models. So, obviously it was because of the poor quality vocal separation. Now I'm going to import the separated vocal audio into Synth v and use the output from that to change it to my voice. Going to use replay because I cancelled my musicfy sub. Thanks.
1:01 hey you're actually pretty smart have some confidence in yourself. I know next to nothing about a lot of this stuff other than it's really cool so you've got me beat for sure.
Hello, I recently downloaded the basic version and I cannot lesson the vibrato of Asterian's lite voice (which has a wide vibrato by default). I slid the "depth" in the vibrato section from the voice tab but the vibrato does not change. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks for your help.
Yeah, Asterian has a strong vibrato. If you want to change that, you need to be in Manual mode. In your Note Properties, highlight the note, then click on Manual. You can then adjust the Vibrato settings. If you want something global, go into your Settings tab, change Note Default Pitch Mode to Manual. You might also want to uncheck the box for "preserve the pitch when switching back and forth" from manual to sing, and sing to manual. Now, adjust the vibrato settings to your liking. All new notes will now have this setting.
@@AnomieTrain Thanks for your help! I was able to adjust the vibrato for Asterian; however, he sounds more robotic now. He lost his natural tone. Do you know what I can do to fix this? Thanks again.
i have a question. When you select the voice, how do i get the voices i downloaded to appear? when i clicked "no default voice" the voice i downloaded didn't come up.
First, we have to make sure the voices are properly installed. When you download the voices, you can install them by just dragging and dropping the file onto the opened Synthesizer V program. Then you'll see the voices appear as choices.
To be honest, he's probably the best choice for a cover. Sounds pretty similar to the original singer in my opinion. Tuning is good. Didn't know he could sound like this (I own him but never had reason to choose him over Kaito or VY2 lol). Vocals a bit quieter than music though. Can't say I prefer a "modern" take on it, to be honest - I seriously like the original sound way too much haha But thank you for your effort, it reached a willing ear.
It i impressive, but i think for me as a hobbiest, it kinda defeats the purpose. No joy of creation. I am all in favor of "AI" tools, but only as a tool for personal refinement. Plus I really like what you did with The backing synthv vocals. Sounded great!
Yeah, I definitely prefer to write my own songs. I wouldn't want to just rely on software to create a complete song for me. What I think would be cool is if AI evolves to the point where it can analyze a song I am working on and if I think something isn't quite working for me, then I can ask it, "Can you suggest a different chord progression for the bridge?" So that it may suggest something I never would have thought of that I can build off of.
