They can sound very similar. The SD-1 I find due to size a bit more practical dialing in sounds as a battery compartment. The Ibanez is the cooler looking though 😅 I wouldn't mind owning either of these but the size as battery make the Boss the one to go for.
The Blueridge BG series are great guitars, modelled of course on Gibson slope-shouldered dreadnaughts. My late friend Jim had a 1942 slope-shouldered dreadnaught, which was quite simply the best acoustic guitar I've ever heard or played. And although the Blueridge BG guitars are not quite up to that standard, they're pretty close. IMO they give moden Gibson acoustics a real run for thei money. So why don't I own one of these myself? The answer is that sadly, I suffer from tendonitis in my right shoulder, and can no longer play big-body guitars like dreadnaughts, jumbos, large body jazz guitars, etc. But for anyone who doesn't suffer from tendonitis, I cannot recommend these highly enough.
Both are great. Jhs is more ....expensive. the dano is much better as a deal. In addition having the BREAKDOWN it pairs perfectly with BOSS BD2W BLUES DRIVER and MAXON SD9 SONIC DISTORTION Now and together with FENDER TREVERB and DANELECTRO DAN ECHO and BOSS DIMENSION C formed a perfectly small pedalboard for recording AMP? The single and bucker selector is for if your playing through singles ...put it on single...playing through buckers...switch it too buckers... Its not a modelling type .
I had both, kept the Spark. RC booster is good and has some following behind it, yet I felt it was trying to act as a compressor and an overdrive at the same time without actually doing any of those very good. Now if you dont want a compresson and a light overdrive, it can definitely carry you through a gig. Spark has a more powerful EQ and the 3 "voices" are distinct enough and actually usable. And it definitely provides a bit more gain without being too compressed.

Had them both and hated the RC , & oddly have liked the BB and the AC alot but really dislike the RC a Really Crappy booster. The fullsize TC Spark is wonderfull...just no comparison to the very pointless RC....However, that's my opinion.
I am DIGGING(!) your board! Many of the same pedals as me and I'm looking to integrate my PirateMIDI bridge6, just like you've done your morningstar. I have a similar size board with pedals that do the same kinda function as you. I'd say the thing that's different in soundscape is the microcosm and Friedman BE-0D for distortion and metal possibility. I'd be very interested in some help with my board. You can try Tube Works Tube Driver 910 it has a eq and runs on a 9v power supply. Now the tube pilot sounds great, you can always find someone to mod it. I have heard or tone controlw, 3 band eqs being done and that would likely be less than the Tube Driver and Benson still.
This is the video i was looking for as thats how id use this pedal (tc) id go with the benson as its more dialable but that tc is a really good price and i do run an eq
great for different things. idk why but i'm so a huge fan of the spark boost. i had a mini one but i lost it lol. great comparison. RC is the color boost of dreams. and spark is the clean boost post drive for solos. i miss mine.

I just purchased. I run this through a fishman mini (I like control on stage if needed). I was hoping for a boost…but found that if I turn off the EQ on this while in a IR mode…it actually boosts the signal….yes…odd. I did run this before my LR Baggs venue ( running flat settings). The pedal sounds almost identical to my Baggs…but many more features. I feel like,e the pre loaded IRs sounded a bit “ thin”or a bit clunky. I have lots more work to do with the pedal…but I think it will do the trick.
