I enjoyed the podcast. Zaidi sb’s knowledge of various issues sorrowfully is not in depth. This is probably because he does not read one book at a time. This hotchpotch of reading sometimes makes you a laughing stock. One example: apparently he adept at discussing the communism, but while talking about creating ten provinces on linguistic grounds in Pakistan he conveniently ignores the Karl Marx’s theory of NATIONS’ RIGHT OF SELF DETERMINATION. When he rightly says that Urdu is not Sindhi, he must also acknowledge Sindhis’ right of self determination on their land. How can a piece of land be given to the Urdu, which has got nothing to do with Sindh and has entered this land a while ago!!? His views on having local police is also highly controversial and debatable. Simple question in this regard put to him is: is police in London or Paris or any other city of his choice comes from only that city? He seems to be under the wrongful confinement of views of his close friend, Altaf Hussain’s apple of the eye, F Naseem. He must come out of this seized mentality. Another suggestion is for the interviewer: please read as much as you can to match, not necessarily wholly, at least to some extent, the knowledge of the person you are talking to.
He's wrong about the industrialization part of Pakistan.. America did help for 1st nephthol plant and I know it coz that was offered by American and Aniline to Pakistan, and my Grandfather was sole distributor of dyestuff for that company.. it was our berocrats and a wrong judgment from court stopped it.. Just to clarify

I disagree 1:14:00. I live in lahore born in lahore and no you cannot walk much without getting mugged or harassed or hit even as a male let alone female. Islamabad parks maybe are walkable but walled city of lahore you get so much eyes upon you and people start following you for no reason its just cringe worthy and at night its terrible. And no moving to Lahore Islamabad wont solve your problems it will still be Pakistan in hands of same incompetent people running the departments and country with corruption dishonesty incompetence, lack of morality etc etc issues.
I think religion k hawaly sy shabbar sb ka argument flawed hai. And the reason it is flawed is because he does not have any understanding of the political and economic setup of Islam.
