Cage with cat food & water traps . Pay people per cat shot letting people pay to rent assault rifles to hunt the cats like a festival or ask people who can´t stand more than 20 minute at a time w/o body pain , so they can have a job as well . Never poison animals because the dead animals can be eaten by zoo animals . Introduce them to where rabbit plagues are , & where the mice plagues are . Just an idea .

I have been told that Tasmania isn’t as beautiful as New Zealand but this national park is breathtaking!

Just seeing this, and I'm stunned and saddened. I wrote a long feature about Geoff King for Afar Magazine in 2009. He was a profoundly wise conservationist and a stellar human being. I wish his family well.

Unfortunately Tasmanian Parks and Wildlife keep sending very unprepared people out onto the Overland Track completely unprepared, this week there was another situation where 2 people had to be lifted out by helicopter because they were nearly frozen to death thankfully there was someone there to save their life. After the two coroners reports of the two people that perished on the Overland Track because of lack of clothing. This totally dysfunctional Tasmanian Parks and Wildlife a still sending people out there completely unprepared, you need to wake up to yourself you're going to have another death on the track. Police search and rescue are tired of seeing the same scenario year in year out of this totally dysfunctional department that Nick Deka is responsible for. I myself had to give assistance to people that have not had enough clothing on the track. There's going to be another death on the track it is only a matter of time. Tasmanian Parks and Wildlife of been coming to my home to a rest meat keep me quiet after revealing serious problems on the Overland Track with the grey water from Tasmanian walking company. Also Tasmanian walking company are the only people that are allowed on the Overland Track without having to carry sleeping bag sleeping mat and tent. November 2021 they have to spend the night in the emergency Shelter in a serious Blizzard because they could not make it to their first night's accommodation. This is cause serious mental health to the guides that were involved with this that night.

I did the walk over New Years in 2005/06. There were some mud holes that really needed boardwalks as we were just causing damage. Don’t make it too easy but let’s protect the walk.

If you need to ask about phone coverage, stay in town. You NEED to carry a PLB or EPIRB. This is wilderness beyond what you imagine. Research, research, research???????????????????????????

Love your work PWST and contractors. We were there Jan 2016 and saw you guys putting in the hard yards. Really appreciate the fact that you are helping preserve our wilderness and disagree with those naysayers that don't want these improvements. With more people using the track, those fanouts just get bigger and bigger. Boardwalks help prevent human impact yet allow us to enjoy nature's beauty so much more. Keep up the great efforts.
