I saw this stunning scene in Picadilly sometime back and was admiring the beauty and talent of Anna May Wong. In spite of the racism she faced in Hollywood as an Asian American actress, it's good to know that her films will be viewed for eternity by present and future generations of movie fans the world over. I always appreciate trailblazers who paved the way in different professions to make the road smoother for those coming up. Very important.

i can't freakin stand how stupidly people assume these years were nothing but square music, black people's pain, and "grandma" clothes. people were hip, making changes, making moves, doing things that would shape culture as we know it. this was the cool shit. people today who can't see that are not cool people to begin with.
This is desert island in terms of both the greatest band and the super dancing - ok not as long as the 78 but a memorable performance - and those dancers!!!
