I have been on a journey to learn a new painting technique to relieve the stress brought on through a medical crisis with my husband's cancer. . A camping trip resulted in a fine collection of smooth flat, round stones. They were the inspiration for learning to create dot mandala designs on rocks, and then late on canvas panels. I began making tutorials to share this adventure with others, so they could learn from my mistakes as well as my successes. My hopes that others will be encouraged to try something new, and creat beautiful lasting pieces of art that will bring them joy. You can also follow along on my Facebook page at :

Beautiful, and 1 really appreciate the way you noted each tool used. And your marks were placed to perfection. I can tell you are proud of your finished art project. I'm glad I stumbled onto your channel. I will be watching more of your videos. Thank you
Excellent tips. I’m waiting for my supplies to arrive but also trying not to break the bank! 😂 Can’t wait to get started and follow your hints and tips thank you 😘
What do you use to put in the mold? I would like to do a craft with my 12 yr old Granddaughter and I thought doing some dot painting might be fun, but I haven't a clue where to start or what to use in a mold to make the stone with. Help?
Absolutely beautiful, I have tried dot painting on pebbles but didn’t get on well with that so I will have a go on a canvas board, maybe it will be easier because the canvas is softer if that makes sense? Really is a stunning picture.❤
Kristen how do these tools compare to the acrylic ones most of us have. Would love to do this project but I am a little confused to the sizes to use. Any help is apprexiated.
With your inspiration in my back pocket I headed out to the local thrift shop. I found the best mug ever for this technique, in my opinion. Coincidentally it has a half inch wide band of glaze around the outside at the rim which also coats the inside. So I snagged it and set to work. I created my mandala mug a few years ago following your pattern and it is a good as new. I recommend giving it a try. Currently I’m working on a rather large mandala canvas. Thanks for your fabulous tutorial.
This is so beautiful. I didn’t know an odd number of segments could be used. Sure do miss your new videos, hope you’re doing well. Thanks for sharing your ideas😊
Would it be too much to ask you to give the sizes of current tools in place of the crochet hooks… this is so beautiful I would like to try it but would be guessing at tool sizes as I have the happy dotting tools set as well as nails stylus sets. This really is stunning! Thank you so much In advance. ❤
Thank you so much for this tutorial. Wich brand would you recommend for ceramics, please ? I bought Folkart multi-surfaces but they're thick and it's not possible to add a medium according to Plaid. Thank you in advance for your help. In Europe, we don't have all your materials.
