🌸Hello there! My name is Yza🥰 Welcome to YzaPensandPaper channel!!🥳🥳🥳 If you enjoy watching pen talk videos, paper, especially fountain pens!!! And of course fountain pen inks... Then you'd be happy to know that you have come to the right place! I also love doing calligraphy, I will also post calligraphy writing videos in my shorts feed and I hope you all enjoy my posts and have a wonderful day and please do enjoy each video until the very end of it.🌸
You need to buy one of those rubber pieces that can help you untwist the caps. I have one that I got as a free thing. I believe if you Google rubber jar opener it can give you some results to choose from.
@@StationeryDumpling To remove the plastic cap inside the cap, right? Ok, I'll check it out. Thank you🥰 I have been using a rubber band on a silicone stick to remove it so I could clean it, it works alright. 😅
@@StationeryDumpling Exactly!!! They are pens and I don't really baby them. I do take good care of them, yes, but not to the point where it's like I'm holding a fragile jewel. Glad we have the same view point on this! Thank you. 🥰
@@cheddar322 It isn't for everyone.. But it is one reason why I love it so much. I do write really tiny though. Maybe try a tomoe river paper notebook, the grid size is bigger.
I’ve been watching a ton of your videos! You’re so fun to listen to. I love your collection. Your reaction to the sailor hagi makes me want one and remember that I used to want it 😂
I like pens of all sizes to try them out!! I love watching your videos that have your inking grouped together and seeing your process in choosing inks!
I have the Sailor Every Rose has its Thorns pen too, but in a medium! It was my very first sailor pen that I got! I absolutely love it. Very beautiful pen, the rose gold looks so good on it. I was so excited for you when I saw you unbox it today!
I have been LUSTING over that pen! That’s been on my wishlist. Congratulations! I have been using Sterling Ink planners for 2 years in a row now. Love them!
OMG me too!!! Thank you so much! 🥰 And I have just inked it I love it so much! Even with a fine nib.. Love it so much I'm so glad I was still able to snag it!!! It was the last one on Gouletpens site. 😍 YAY!!!! for sterlingink😍😍😍
Sterling Ink is a favorite of mine, too! I use their TN pIanner system currently. I plan on purchasing their b6 slim notebooks and maybe a pocketand maybe an A5, but that has to be it 😅. I still have to get my planner for next year, and new inks and fountain pen and inks keep coming out 😂.
Yay!!!!🥰🥰🥰 I want their B6 slim too!!! Lined and grid.. I'm still not sure what planner I will use for next year.. Are you going to use sterlingink's planner? The TN system never worked out for me.. I feel bad about my TN's😅 Hobonichi has always been a favorite of mine. 🥰
@yzapensandpaper I am not 😅. I might try the pocket lined for daily journalling. I plan to try the Jibun Techo in A5 slim for 2025. I bought a cover that I really want to use for 2025 that will fit it perfectly. I tried it as b6 slim, and I did like to format, but it was too small. And did the Hobonichi Cousin and have never used the daily pages completely.
Awesome pen. One day I’m going to add a sailor pro gear to my collection. ❤ I have 1911s but it was underwhelming when I use it but m/f is pretty good nib. A little scratchy.
@@Trecester Thank you. ❤️ Some sailor pens could be scratchy depending on the type of nib it has.. Which 1911 do you have? The Sailor pen of the year from 2023 is so nice!!! 1911 as well, but so lovely!!!
@@yzapensandpaper Sailor Compass 1911 in brown. It was an entry level fountain pen I bought to see whether I like Sailor but it kind let me down. Maybe if I go up in price and try a gold nib? I don’t know. I’m still a newbie in the fountain pen world. Recently I purchased a TWISBI 700R & 580 and I love them both. TWISBIs never let me down. Thanks for sharing. I’ll need to looking into Sterling Ink notebooks. I love my Hobonichi and Midori notebooks but have never used Sterling inks.
@@Trecester Yesss, Sailor pens' gold nib are really really nice!! maybe try a pro gear slim for starters? the ones from yoseka are the best! TWSBIs are one of my go to's! I love TWSBI a lot. the VACs did not disappoint. 😍
Great video! It was fun watching you react to Citrus black! I have a few of those platinum inks- Cassis black, sepia, and Citrus black. They perform well in my pens. I would love to see a full ink collection video. I just got an Encore ink from Vanness- Aria. It's lovely- haven't tried it in a pen yet. Oh and I have the TWSBI vac mini and it's wonderful. The medium nib is chef's kiss. I do notice I need to unscrew the Vac nob all the way for longer writing sessions or it does dry out.
@@HandmadebyLorelei Thank you so much. 🥰 Can't wait to use the Platinum inks! I love the Citrus black effect, lol! so cool! The full ink collection video is also in the works.. soon!!! I love VD Aria!!!! Omg so beautiful!!! I also have not tried it in a pen yet either, but it swatched so beautifully! Yes, unscrewing the back knob helps. ❤️❤️❤️
Both - I don't mind which one :) I used to have the Twsbi Vac700 Iris, but sold it last year, I had a medium nib on mine and it was a fire hose, fun but not really for me.
So much for not buying pens until the pen show 😆 But would you ever be open to doing ink sample swaps with your subscribers? And I feel the same way about the q-tip swatches!!!!! It makes me like nervous twitch lol
@@andreapalacios2664 😂😂😂 I have come to accept that I have no discipline!!! LMAO. Oh well, at least it isn't as crazy as May!!😂😂😂 the sound the qtip makes when it touches the paper then u swipe it gives me goosebumps and I cringe😅
Got my first pen on Monday. Just a TWSBI Eco Clear with a Stub 1.1 nib with Dominant Industry Winter Wood ink and I LOVE it! I’m going to finish this first fill of in (already more than half done), and then I’ll order another pen in Fine. Can you please do a video of what kinds of paper or notebooks you’d recommend from like Walmart/Target or local chain stores that most people can access? I like the videos that are made with each package arrival, rather than one large collective haul. Also, I’m new to your channel so if you’ve already made that kind of paper video, I haven’t gotten to it yet 😆 I would love to see your top pick for each ink color in shimmer/sheening vs just a plain color in the same shade (shading in the plain is ok). I hope that makes sense. Also, a video of your most recommended fountain pen for different categories… like beginner/affordable, then mid-price, then “high end”
@@andreapalacios2664 Hey hey!!! Congratulations on your first pen!!! My first pen is also a TWSBI!!! YAY!!! How are you liking it? For paper products.. Not sure if anything from US stores would be good with fountain pens though, but there are tons of websites where you can get amazing fountain pen friendly paper, like jetpens, gouletpens, vanness, etc.. I did post a video on my favorite fountian pen friendly paper. 🥰 it's not that far away, just scroll a bit lol. For shimmery inks, i think I have mentioned in some of my videos the one i love the best because I only like EF nib, so I had to find one that works best with what I love, it is Diamine Shimmertastic ink.. love them so much!!!! though others are also nice, but i cannot like it as much as the one that works for what i enjoy using. 😅 I will discuss all those things when I post my whole collection video. 🥰 Thank you so much, hope u keep in touch! ❤️❤️❤️
@@Calcprof Really? I gotta give iron gall fountain pen inks a try. I was a bit afraid as I have some iron gall inks for my dip pens.. i have been seeing the ones for fp's but not sure how it works. 😅 I have yet to try it. Thank you so much. 🥰
@@yzapensandpaper Yes the whole Class black series, including Citrus Black and the others you swatched are iron gall inks. Lisa Vaness (of Vaness Pens) several years ago did some tests with fountain pens and these inks, and concluded they were safe.
Thanks for the wonderful video. Let’s do both the fountain pen collection and the 100 bottles of ink swatching. I have a couple of the Platinum inks and they are nice when they dry. I also have the TWSBI Vac and I love the way that writes. 💜
@@robbourne1950 LOL. Ok, sounds good! I'll get to it as soon as I can. I was gonna post the huge ink swatching vid like early this week but I got so lazy😂😂😂 Now that a lot of you wanna see it, I got some adrenaline from it lol. Can't wait to ink my TWSBI Vac!!!! 😍😍😍 Glad to know everyone loves theirs.
I have a small collection, one to cover each line width/nib grind. So I have a mix of pens of Asian and European make. I use them for different things and my handwriting is variable in size depending upon which I'm writing with. Some inks only go in certain pens due to wet/dryness or shimmer content. I have them all inked and I try to use them every day, even if it's just one sentence for each. That would be too much for me to manage if I had more than 10 pens. Due to the size of my collection I ink them half way so I can switch it up often, and I don't do matchy matchy ink and pen combos because that would just give me less options. Most of my pens are green/blue/gray and I love orangey brown, reds, and purple inks too much not to ink them up.
@@ZodiacLeopard. That's amazing! The only European pen I have I believe is kaweco.. Maybe I'm wrong, lol.. But mostly I have Japanese pens. I can't stand a pen with ef nib that writes like a broad. 😅😫 so amazing how different pens and nibs work differently in all sorts of ways. You got a great system right there! ❤️❤️❤️
My husband just surprised me with ordering two new TWSBI Eco's, one is the Clear ECO T, and the other is the Caffe with Bronze trim. 💗 I'm so looking forward to inking them up. Thanks for sharing your great collection of pens and inks!
@@amethystmistarts5532 OMG you have a great husband!!! You will love both pens😍😍😍 I think I like eco T better than regular ecos, the nib is just way better IMO.
I love your videos, I’m a extra fine girl too. I love Twsbi Eco and Diamond 580. I recently got the Eco Royal Jade, Mint Blue, Eggplant Purple, Glow Green, Rosso and Diamond 580ALR Purple. I tend to match the ink to my pens.
@@starrb266 Thank you so much! And YAY to EF girls!!!! 🥰🥰🥰 you got an amazing TWSBI collection right there! I'm sure it is about to still grow!!! I sometimes match ink and pen but sometimes when I got nothing to match the pen or ink with, I just go with something I wanna use. 😍
Have you notice sometimes the ink you want to use is bam! Prefect first time! Others are forever! Sailor HaHa is a beautiful shader. I had 4 Twsbi’s (liked them, didn’t reach for them). Now I have 18 😁 At this time I’m inking about 30+ a month, I’m trying to use every pen I own (225+). I do not ink all the way (rarely), I change the inks often. Sometimes 9 times in a month. The pens I’m wanting the perfect ink in it.
@@mshaunplans Hi, Jetpens has them, also: Gouletpens, Vannes, Pen Boutique, Atlas.. You might also find it on Amazon. But I got mine from Jetpens. I'll try to link it here.
Hi, Love watching all your unboxing videos! JP-select has the platinum Hachimonjiya Hatsu-Yuki 'first snow!! it would be a beautiful addition to your already amazing collection! Looking forward to following you along your pen journey ☺🖋
I think I'm going to have to get some of this kind of storage. They look so gorgeous... mine are all in pen rolls, so I don't get the eye candy effect. 😍
Oh no! What color inks are those? when the ink color is too light, you won't see it with extra fine nib.. I love light colored inks too but I have accepted they don't work with my nib of choice😅
