Why over in the UK 🇬🇧 and Europe the have to put license plates on there farm equipment but in the USA 🇺🇸 and Canada 🇨🇦 we dont have to do that,as long as the equipment is insured and has a slow moving sign, were fine, just wondering.
Hi there, have you ever had any issues with the switch for the threshing drum? Our switch appears to not be working and while we’ve tried switching the fuses in the cab no on avail, we’re a bit unsure as to what else it could be. Is this a job for a mechanic or can it potentially be solved an easier way? For example are there fuses elsewhere apart from inside the cab? Or has this problem happened to you and you found an easy fix?
Hi, its not my combine but I asked the owner and he said that he hasn't had any trouble with the drum and he's not sure which switch you mean. If its for setting the drum speed, there is a small motor that controls the drum speed and that would be a good place to start. He thinks its possible to bypass the electronic system and set it manually.
@jamesmaughan Thank you so much for your help, to be honest I’m unsure of the switch myself. The problem was shared with me and I said to my co-worker have they tried finding the solution on RU-vid at all. The drum speed I do remember him talking about. I’ll be sure to forward what the owner of yours said and see if they can sort it out. Thanks again.
Nice looking machines, that's the thing about nowadays square balers they take extra more amount of hay to produce a decent square bale, compared to the older version, of 60s and 70s + beyond, plus you get done quicker in the field. We have a 316 NH square baler and it bales nice. That's the thing about square balers sure they may caused extra work of dealing with the bales, but I think squares are alot better feed then round bales. 1 square balers compacts/ cuts/ break up the hay more at least most of it, where a average round baler just takes the whole stock in without breaking it down some or cutting it unless you have the newer versions. But inerways good video.👍
Hi, I don’t have a manual for it but you should be able to find one online. Maybe try www.agrimanuals.com/new-holland-combine-clayson-1530-parts-manual-3529-p.asp
nice video of the tc54, Is this by any chance the combine you bought from Adrian Thorpe because I now have the 1530. I cut some spring barley in the autumn and had no problems. She runs alongside a case 2166 axial flow to do the awkward places. Would like to know some of the history like how long you had it etc Trevor Martin Dromore County Down 07766807189 if you have time to call. Good luck with the tc54 a good reliable machine. Thanks Trevor
