Hi, Jenn & Brandon. I loved watching your video. I am a 70 y/o Italian American living just outside Austin. For some reason, I have become addicted to Korean TV shows on Netflix. I cannot stop watching them and learning Korean phrases. It was so interesting learning about your experiences in Korea. Thank you so much for sharing.
I’m using the latest version velo, difficult to dispenses with the tube, and it gets hardened real fast. Though it’s a good product. It’s not creamy or easy to blend.
Jen, I love your long explanations! OG here from beauty and skincare days and I find your sharing both informative and relatable- just like a friend I’d invite over for coffee or wine! So thank you so much for sharing! And Brandon, thanks for always being so encouraging in this space. And even though I am the 80% that wanted to listen for 20 minutes about detergent u did look up the podcasts you suggested and I am going to try to give them a listen, if anything, to stay informed and maybe even be able to talk to my husband about it. Thanks again to you both for all you do. About to have my first and I’m excited to go back and RElisten for all the good baby and toddler recs and advice. ❤
Love seeing you guys on my feed again :’) I missed you! Jenn the way you talk about Margaret is indeed how I and probably many of us feel about your channel! And Brandon - 🙋🏻♀️ here as someone who appreciates your interests and perspectives just as much! The thing I love most about your guys’ conversation is how genuinely excited you are about the things / people / topics you’re into. ❤
Hi guys, I used to watch your videos long ago. It's incredible how far you guys have come. I know that when we are focused on doing life and doing it well, we can sometimes overlook our efforts and progress, so as an outsider looking in I think you guys are doing amazing with all the challenges you have been dealt. I will never forget your date night videos. My Husband and I used to watch them together. Just wanted to drop in to encourage you. My God bless your journey.
I think it was the purge and it was just doing its job. But I agree it is strong but my skin likes it and I have sensitive skin. I’m post accutane a year ago and my hormonal around period breakouts back. I think this is helping so far. But I don’t recommend doing it every night and a good moisturizer and daytime sunscreen is essential with any retinol
I read that the loneger you leave the enzyme mask, the better. Like an hour. I havd yet to try it. Thanks for the review! I have the hydrating mask on right now. I love how my skin feels after. I love the way the hydrating mask goes on, how the texture chamges as it adjusts to the heat of your skin. The smell, though I am not a fan of. I wish he made more unscented products. I like essential oils, I am not allergic to them or anything. But I do find his products have strong smells.
I'm back to share about my experience w the active enzyme mask. I left it on for 40 minutes, which is the minimum recommended time to leave it on. I also used the hydrating accelerator before the mask. I have to say I quite like the way my skin looks and feels! It looks clean, bright, fresh. Pores on my nose cleaned out. Pores around aides of my nose smaller. My skin feels SO soft and smooth! I think next time I will try to leave it on for the full hour to see what happens. I've read this mask is a good alternative to retinol, for those too scared to use a retinol, which I am. LOL I would buy this product again. Thanks for your review!
Hi Jenn and Brandon!! I miss you guys!! Happy New Year! I am equally obsessed with Branch Basics as well! I cannot live without Puracy stain remover because my second one is the world’s messiest eater.
We miss you too Tiffany and happy new year!! The 2nd child is always such a wild child yo. Also, Jenn is absolutely in love with this new product that I'm SO excited to share with you.
Hi! I don’t know what kind of bibs you use for Izzy but you may want to try out disposable bibs! It wasn’t available when ours were little but my brother has a 2 year old and saw them using them during their visit this time! It beats the plastic bibs that we would have to bring back home to wash every time we were out dining! Btw. So what detergent are you using? So sick of the “wet dog” smell too lol
Hi! You know what's interesting is that we used disposable bibs a LONG time ago when Emmy was a baby, but the one we used at the time didn't seem to do what it was designed to do. I wonder if the one you saw might be better! If you know what brand it is, we'd love to try it! As far as the detergent, Jenn just talked about it on the podcast we filmed today so you'll be getting a pretty full story and links soon! (I couldn't tell you right now) -Brandon
Definitely the wipe warmer - when my son was in the NICU he'd cry every time cold wipes touched him so that was the first thing I ordered for his room, lol
oh WOW very cool! that's interesting to know that it bothers some babies! we definitely could have used that today while we were out. we needed to wipe Izzy's hands and they were icicles -Brandon
Hi! I followed your story with Izzy on IG and feel so grateful for you guys to have the living miracle that she is today. And now, thank you for sharing your lives. It’s honestly very comforting to hear you share the same real experiences about the joys yet struggles and exhaustion of having young kids (we also have two girls 😊). I do hate to break it to you though, I learned recently that you don’t make vitamin D from sunlight thru glass 😭
Aw man, the struggle is real, but yes the joy is as well! So glad we are on this journey together.. and with 2 girls! So cool! How old are they? And bummer about the vitamin D! I guess that means i should take off Izzy's glasses for this? -Brandon
I have sensitive skin and and prone to hyperpigmentation i have to work up to introducing a new product into my routine, If i start using a new product that has active ingredients i need to use it once a week, then twice a week and then so on until i can get to every day. otherwise my whole face can can become bright red, and bumpy with white heads every where and it feels like its really badly sunburn. It usually takes around a week to look noticeably different and even longer to go back to a really nice condition. I know some people say to not use products with those ingredients in them because i'm having a reaction but i if i didn't get my skin use to it I wouldn't be able to use anything with any ingredients that target hyperpigmentation or anti aging etc.
Haha, thank you! Oh man, it was great that we had some family time amidst all the sicknesses we had! Hope you had an amazing break! Do you have any goals for the year?? - Brandon
So happy to hear from/see y'all again and get an update on the family happenings! Congratulations on the new house. Jenn, miss seeing your IG stories! I always grateful whenever you have the capacity to show up. As the saying goes, change is the only constant so whenever and however you grace us with your presence, we are happy for it :)
Change is the only constant indeed! Thanks for the encouragement here. Aw man, I miss seeing Jenn's IG stories too. I hope she comes back to IG, but it's probably going to be a while if it does happen. - Brandon
The fact that you both still show up in the middle of a hot mess is a true testament of such champions you both are. Thank you for being you and sharing your life. Cheers to a life of ever evolving and moving forward! Keep up the good work and enjoy your new home ❤
Thank you thank you! We'll do our best and hope we can show up with more of us in whatever the next season is going to be for us. Please keep letting us know what is resonating with you so that we can show up with the good stuff whenever we do! -brandon
Unfortunately, Jenn deactivated her account for now! Not sure when she'll be back... but I hope she does. We have a Substack where I'm trying to keep people updated and eventually hoping to have an Instagram for this channel if we figure out how to get more momentum. Thank you for being interested! Anything in particular you were hoping to get updated on?? -Brandon
Cute and heavy Izzy 😂❤!! Thanks for coming back and Happy Birthday Jenn! I’ve been a silent viewer forever (I watched every episode/conversation) but this time decided to leave a comment and support you guys.😬
Aw man, this means a lot! And I must say it definitely helps. So honored that you would listen and wish we could churn out more content! Anything in particular you want to see more of? -Brandon
I was just thinking about you two yesterday and wondering how things were going. What a pleasant surprise to see your post! 💜 Congratulations on the new home, it sounds palatial. Happy belated birthday!!! (Still listening)
Jenn says thank you and so glad to be back! Really wish we could churn out content more regularly, but hopefully sometimes is better than never! -Brandon
I've been enjoying your podcast and would love for you both to retell your love story. I remember you both doing a brief telling of this story many years ago, but it would be interesting hearing the full story on your podcast 😊
Documenting again how much I adore this podcast!! I always learn something new and I just love listening to you guys as it’s so relaxing and enjoyable to me. This was so interesting to me and I’ve never traveled to Korea and hopefully I can at some time in the future. Love you both so much!! Thank you so much for this podcast!! ❤
This was the most relatable podcast I’ve ever heard as someone who has lived my whole life in Canada and recently moved to Korea 🥲 thank you for sharing!!! It is making me appreciate more of both cultures! I was listening to this on my way to work and I can’t wait to get off work and finish it!!
Oh wow, so cool that you’re in Korea right now!! How are you liking it? What took you over there? I’m so curious about what all might have changed in the past 5 years.
@@graceandgiggles I am loving it!!! My parents moved back here when I went to university and I visited them every summer, which was when I met you guys at your meetup/randomly on the streets of gangnam!! :) I always loved it here and the biggest reason for my move was because of family. I just missed my family so much. I was mostly worried about making friends here, but I’ve made so many amazing friends at work (which was very surprising because I’ve heard so much about the toxic work culture here). I definitely don’t think Korea isn’t for everyone, and I definitely think that for a country that is so advanced technology and media-wise, they lack in many social aspects. But I’ve seen such a big change even in the last 3 years while I was here. I know it’s been a while for you guys since you were last here, but I wish you could sometime in the near future see how much it has changed here!! And show Emmy and Izzy how amazing it is as well!! I have a 3 year old niece and watching her grow up in Korea makes me so happy with all the amazing kids cafes and programs for kids to have fun at. I wish I can share my experience with you guys in detail in a podcast as well 🥲 I have so many things to say!!
oh man, sorry i missed this comment!! Grace! Okay so Jenn and I had a chat about this and are you sure we didn't meet in Itaewon? We remember you but, for some reason the location is throwing us off! and oh man, you are certainly making me miss Korea even more. whenever i facetime with my parents who are near pyeong taek, they show me an amazing playground/splashpad which is so impressive. it sounds like it's a country-wide thing now. I'm not sure Jenn would be too keen on going, but i wouldn't even mind living there again for a few years. would love to see the kids pick up some korean. it's certainly been super valuable for me. so glad Korea seems to be treating you pretty well overall!
Hi Jenn and Brandon!! Thank you for another spectacular podcast! You guys talking about Korea made me think of the first time I met you guys in Gangnam! :) And Jenn, I had the same exact thoughts of when I saw all the Korean text pop up on the screen during shows! I always wondered how/if they read everything. And Brandon, you brought up how you wished you took advantage of all the things you had access to in Korea at the time you were living there - I think we all feel like that with certain chapters of our lives, and it was a reminder to enjoy our current moment and not take anything for granted. Also, I think social media has an effect of romanticizing a lot of places as well. I can’t wait for the next podcast!
That is such a good point about taking the moment for granted, and the downsides of social media. Here’s a good tips I heard yesterday. It’s basically about planning “mini adventures” throughout the year which are a day or two long. I think something like this will help us to have something fun to look forward to, and feel like we’re living life to the fullest!
The highlight of my Korea trip for life will be meeting you and Brandon for sure!! The coolest cafes, the yummiest foods, and the most organized and stocked stationary stores will never compare!
Ah shucks Tiffany I don’t know what we did to deserve someone like you, but we’re so thankful we found each other through RU-vid, met you in Korea… really looking forward to hanging out with you again whenever that might be!
I know you guys from Jenn’s early RU-vid days with her skincare and makeup recs so this was a big treat for me. Interested to hear her take on makeup these days and if she’s still as passionate about it since becoming a mother? Any recs would be fantastic. Love you too Brandon!
Aw love you toooo! Haha she’s passionate for sure, but more so in that she loves her staples and doesn’t want to stray. I’ll get her to cover some of these again soon! -Brandon
Oh and Jenn was worried that her talk about products seemed too shallow, but I told her that there are people would probably enjoy this part most and I’m so glad you chimed in to prove my thesis correct!
Such a nice conversation, thanks for sharing. I have a connection to a company called Hinge Health, and I'm not sure what area of tech you're interested in, but might be worth a look 😊
I don't think this podcast is long enough, really. I could listen to you guys talk for hours and I'd be happy. But I know you have lives so... Okay. 😅 I find it very helpful when you talk about the challenges you have or the feelings you have and how it's not always sunshine and rainbows. Because that's real life. It helps to know that others who seem like they may not have troubles actually do have them. Thank you for sharing about your life. I don't really care what you end up talking about. I just like listening to you both. Like we're friends even though we're really not. It just kinda feels like that and it feels nice.
Goodness, that’s so sweet and we are so touched! These encouragements really go a long way. We actually do you love the process of filming this. What I’m hoping for is that one day we can outsource the post-production part of it so that we can focus on the filming/connecting with more friends part of it!
Listening to this is really giving me a lot of support and I thank you so much. I have been feeling so miserable in my current teaching job at an elementary school and trying to get clear on what I need to do. This really is just giving me everything I need at this moment. Thank you again.
I’m so sorry to hear that. You’ve been feeling miserable in your job, but so glad that we can be encouraged together! How come the job has been so difficult these days?
@@graceandgiggles I have 13 special needs students in a classroom with one assistant. The students I work with have a lot of challenging behaviors and I get so frustrated sometimes that I wish they were typical developing students. I know that’s not right but I feel like that.
Oh boy, that’s a LOT! And man, I’m starting to understand a little bit of that. I mean, it’s still largely a waiting game with Izzy but I definitely get both frustrated and sad when we keep hitting the same limitations. I love your heart in this!
I’m so excited for another Roger baby!!!! ❤ can you guys please do a Korea episode one day? Of what it was like living here (cultural differences, etc). thank you for taking the time for these talks ❤ we enjoy them more than you guys think so!
My son is 4 months and we’re back to waking up multiple times per night. Hoping to get to the other side of this stage in a better place than we started…. Listening to this eagerly…
Oh man, we sure don’t have answers to this one. Izzy went through sleep regressions for about 2 months and Jenn had an emotional breakdown. I THINK the only answer would be to get as much sleep as possible and hopefully you have someone to share the load 🙏🏽
