I’m Adam, I’m a bricklayer, Vlogger and I enjoy a good holiday. So expect some banter, some good work videos and some travel videos. I also love my health and fitness so there will be some of that on here too!
I am not one to take myself seriously and I am all tongue in cheek so expect to hear some good jokes and some terrible ones 😁
Good vid as always mate. My view of it being on and off sites and mostly doing private work is that site work isn’t something that many of us necessarily like but it can fill gaps over the winter where most private clients don’t want builders around. Some sites are better than others but generally the site agents and safety stooges are loathsome cretins and are easy to fall out with. Private work hinges on the clients for me, I’ll happily take a more awkward job on if I know they’re good customers to work for. We’ve all had the ones who are a nightmare. Private work is generally a bit more stressful but the perks and freedom of it all make it preferable to site work for me. Plus the atmosphere on private jobs is more relaxed and enjoyable.
hi adam when on the tressle fully extended have ya tried knocking line pins inbetween where they extend .hard to explain but dunt half take the wobble out.ur a bright lad youll work it out. great footage by the way keeping it real.👍
Why don't you lay the breeze blocks the same time as you lay the outer course, sorry might be a dumb question, but I'm just curious...Pete from biddenden
Yer less stress because your not constantly rushing around like a blue arse fly. Nice and methodical. Stressful finding the work though. Do you use my builder or checkatrade?
I couldn’t agree more. The only stress is finding the work. We don’t use anything, just word of mouth but it’s very risky as sometimes the phone doesn’t ring. Are you on checkatrade? We always consider it but it sounds hard work keeping reviews uo
I wouldn’t say less stress, I’d say more stress but way more freedom. Little things like you’re running late and rather than floor it down the motor way you’re in charge so turning up 10mins behind makes no difference
Had the stands about 3/4 years now , absolute game changer , I did comment about them on one of your vids last year 😂 Next up is belle wheel barrows , cost about £250 , but another game changer trust me 😀👍
Ah it might have been you that inspired me, someone messaged and I was like they’re right, not only is it a time saver, it’s better for your back and makes you look more professional having a proper set up! Funnily enough I went to buy one, my bro sent me a link through with a different one that was £150, ordered online and it was so big couldn’t fit it in the van, sold it for £50 after one use 😅😅
@@AdamHatch mate honestly the stands are the dogs , ive suffered with a bad back for years , touch wood not had any problems since I bought the stands . I see your still on the wooden spots , again another Game changer for me , I’ve had the gator boards for years too , never cleaned them once lol and still going strong . Just twat them with your trowel and good to go 😀👍
Screw a bit of batten to boards at each end of trestles touching the walls, 1 across the boards at the 2 ends and 1 joining the 2 platforms and wobble gone (mostly). And Christ stop overspending those boards, seen them fail.
Glad I’m doing it, those first few courses at the bottom are back breaking. I only start when the brickwork is at knee height, then I leave again once it’s at tit level
@@XX-gt7vvthey’re not really my type 😂😂 Nah on a serious note, I’m glad I had my apprentership before smart phones were about. Now they have too many distractions, vapes and smart phones
We might like a video but if we press the like button we get inundated with videos about that subject, also the video needs to have some interesting footage 😊
