Perfect, it's interesting how Ihsahn gets better and better with each album, how his music and lyrics keep evolving and this is written in August 2024, YES !
This music really suits when the leaves start falling and its getting colder and darker every day by day. Love this atmosphere. I feel like my soul is resting when listening to this. Thank you.
This is an AMAZING ALBUM . I"m a pro musician in Tucson Arizona , and I have to say , I hear a touch of ROBIN TROWER in there . Especially in the Lead Guitar work . Just F""""KING AMAZING . CHEERS TO ANIMATE , JOB WELL DONE . I Love New Music Around the world Trip on RU-vid . ☯⛩😎😌 When I say Robin Trower , just listen to Robin's album called ," Bridge of Sighs". Judge for yourself . Ha ha ha ha , hell yeah . 🤘
My favorite Opeth albums are My Arms, Your Hearse and Still Life. I seem to be in the minority as most either seem to think Blackwater Park or Ghost Reveries are their best. And I don't deny the greatness of those albums, but My Arms, Your Hearse and Still Life are Opeth in their absolute peak imo. This album is like a gift to me. It is everything I love about those two albums in a third album. These dudes really nailed the vibe and style of those two albums here. Even though they only dropped this one album and a demo or so, this album is one of my favorite prog death albums of all time. It sits right in my Opeth playlist with the two albums I mentioned.
