I love watching this interview. The first time I saw it online was about 10 years ago. I’ve watched it maybe eight times since. I love watching them goofing around. They’re all so cute in their younger years.❤
They were recording Dookie at this time, Billy Joe has said they were really heavily using meth during those sessions. Kind of an interesting factoid. I actually looked this up specifically to see what young meth head Green Day was like, but this was probably in the early stage of their addiction before things get ugly. Mike is for sure noticeably tweaking here, the other two are acting pretty normal.

They were friends with a lot of the bands on that label and played with them. Lagwagon, Strung out, NOFX, Propagandhi, and No use They played with them a bunch which is why you also see Tre with a fat wreck shirt in the same era
