I'm not an expert when it comes to using ARCropolis as a mod manager, but I think it may be because of the newest version of Smash interfering with it potentially. Generally speaking as long as you don't need to specifically configure the mods through that menu, it should be fine though, as the mods in general are still working
@@sutykq2606 I'm unsure if the firmware update removes the usability to a extend, but generally speaking normal switch users should have that problem too in that case
How do I check what mods are conflicting with others in the Log folder? There's so much text in it and I have no idea what I'm looking for when searching for an problem.
@@Jadi_Bravo personally I didn't dare to use the log folder, generally speaking trial and error will always work tho, dragging mods in and out to see what works and what doesn't. you can also go into the mods folder and see if something tries to write on the same character etc, because that is 100% a conflict
smashline is a mod dependencie and only needed if a mod says so itself, if mentioned you directly should have a link on the gamebanana page of the mod itself, some mods use different smashline version that's why that's important
@@Timerin thx also i have one last question I see that we can add character like silver do you know how to do that also for the boss character like Master hand
@@sans3497 find the mod on gamebanana, install the dependencies like shown in the video, and drag the mod into the mod folder, I recommend using the recommended method guide, instead of the alternative method that you used.
did everything as told and arc worked too but whenever it comes to adding mods nothing shows up, even tho my mods folder has multiple of them, there is 0 mods shlwing up in-game
Okay then don't worry for now, I'm actually currently working on an updated guide that will go even more in depth, for SUYU, as Yuzu with the lawsuits and stuff of course is far from the best option nowadays, I will try to remind you when the video is up.
@@Timerin To be honest the issue i have is an issue most people don't get an answer for all files downloaded properly, everything functional, yet mods just don't load
@@tropluckyfr2077 I still hear that it works for alot of people, even a comment just yesterday, so it's probably one step gone wrong, either because of a problem with the emulator, the acropolis version etc, that's why I mean I will make a updated video more in depth to hopefully prevent thoose problems in the future.
@@diogoenriconolli9679 usally the acropolis folder not appearing is a result of one of many things, either, a mismatch between the smash and acropolis versions (make sure to be up to date on your Smash Update), Rest files from stuff like ultimate mod manager, missing dependencies, or using an emulator without Acropolis support, make sure your emulator does have acropolis support (incase you use an older version of yuzu or "offbrand yuzu") alternatively, give a try with ryujinx, the original guide is linked in the description as a game banana link, and it has a alternative version for the ryujinx emulator.
There is a problem that some mods won't work after a while and i even tried to delete then replacing them from the original mod file but they do not work any more😢 What's the way to fix it?
@@amirbest6416 I'm unsure as I don't have that issue myself and can't replicate it, but my first instinct would be clearing your yuzu folder and reinstalling it then
Worked for a gogeta mod i tested. But gogeta disappears from the roster when I use a specific goku mod (both should be their own character). Is there something I can do to fix that?
@@aytob.5445 are they using custom slots? or just override existing characters? if it is custom slots (I'm not too experienced with the) there should still be some kind of ID or similar attached to them, if both of theirs match it could be the reason why only one of both can be shown
@@Timerin when using them one at a time, they both are their own characters. I only know that the goku one was originally a terry replacement, but i am using a newer version of that mod where he has his own slot right next to terry. I tried looking into the foulders but i couldnt see anything that looked like i could change some numbers for it to work.
@@aytob.5445 maybe try to generally look for that problem on Google or especially reddit is good for thoose kind of problems, the way your yuzu is setup is to imitate the way the switch stores it, so the fix for the switch should work in yuzu too, and I will just say, you are probably not alone with that problem, good luck.
@@senimanpakjoprojek9507 i'm unsure what the beginning of your message means, but to clarify, yuzu's android version has no acropolis support, but I heard that the fan version suzu does
everything works, but when i try to use smashline, it gets stuck on the launching screen. i've already installed nro hook fine, but for some reason smashline won't work correctly. (i am on suyu so that might be the issue, but i don't think so)
@@Timerinive already tried the pinned comment, and i can also run any mod that doesnt run smashline. its just smashline that is stopping it from working.
@@littlecow27 a reason that it could make problems is the version of smashline not matching with the version of your smash, the newest smash version is 13.0.2, needing smashline 2: github.com/HDR-Development/smashline if you are on smash version 13.0.1 or below you need smashline 1: github.com/blu-dev/smashline (for suyu most optimal would be using smash version 13.0.2 with smashline 2) (before this i didn't even realise a new one existed for the newest smash as i didn't play it myself anymore, updated it in the description too)
@@VVVVV99611 it does in fact still work, the method provided in this video still works 1-1 as long as you have an working version of yuzu, all proven by newer comments of others and self testing, make sure to follow the pinned comment before trying to throw away an working tutorial 🙄
This is one of the most comprehensive and complete tutorials I have seen for modding. Thank you so much, I'm sure we all appreciate how concise and understandable you made it.
Reading this after getting someone who probably didn't follow each step or checked the pinned comment is just heartwarming, much much much thanks for your comment 🙏❤️
is sudachi a project to replace yuzu? if yes feel free to tell me more about it! maybe i will make an updated version of it to make sure everyone knows how to get it ^^
I can't count how long I've been trying to get mods to work and this one simple and tidy tutorial just got it to work first try! Amazing!! Much success to you mate!
the update is supposed to be a different file? you just need to patch it onto it?... Incase it's your first time updating a game: File -> Install Files to NAND -> Choose the Update File Afterwards the update should be shown as an Add-On on the game.
hello ! im happy because the mods work but i have one problem . how its work for effect ? smetimes in the folder he work or i change the place of the file but some effect work of the beginining and after all effect for the character disapear . have you an idea to fix that ? thanks
generally speaking, this could be caused by 2 things that i can think of right now, either reset yuzu shader cache (just google how) or it is a problem that generally exists for the mod, and a soloution that you would use on the switch would work in yuzu too
@@anosnysmevoldiogaod ultimate mod manager isn't compatible with this way of nodding the game, as ultimate mod manager in general is just problematic on PC, I'm sorry, but it looks like you will need to look for different character effects that are not dependant on ultimate mod manager
@@Timerin I did everything in the checklist except clearing yuzu folder, and I don't really know how to, and im confused on if it will delete my save file in every game i have on there
Thanks you very much! I had troubles with the dependencies mods and it was that i put them in the wrong file, i did go to the testing part and a resolve it
Imma be honest and say this a pretty great and straightforward tutorial. To new ppl to modding, Yuzu version 1734 should be up to date and compatible with SSBU version 13.0.2. Should work with latest ARCropolis too.
@@Timerin after all the time and finding a work around to do it i finally got it but now ryujinx is saying its missing firmware for the game im gonna try it on yuzu to check that but ye
check if your smash is on version 13.0.2, if not update it! if that's the case, then clear your yuzu folder as mentioned with the "clean install" in the video, make sure to save the folders mentioned in the video or it can be annoying do redo some of your yuzu installation.
Thank you, i just need help, I would like to download the "Dive to the Heart Disney Restoration" stage mod but it doesn't work. It's not like the other files.
I am unsure, suyu is there meant to be a replacement, but if it's similar enough it should work just like that. in other words, just ry it and see if it works or not
is your Smash actually up to date? double check please. as I already had a case where he thought it was the newest, but it wasn't. and also, try an older acropolis version, as there could be problem with the newest
Hey i downloaded a mod and on strart up its saying "during file discovery, ARCropolics encountered file conflicts" btw this is my only mod can you help me fix this
@@Yamari__ do a "fresh install" like shown at the beginning of the recommended tutorial. basically deleting the stuff inside of the yuzu folder besides of the keys and config folder
This worked great with Yuzu EA version 4176 and firmware 17.0.1. You will also need Ultimate 13.0.2 update patch. I have about 85 mods installed and have not had any issues.
do you mean install or download? incase of installing check the pinned comment. incase of downloading, I'm unsure, maybe check your network, try an older version etc
