Ceremony of Opposites by Samael was a CD I remember purchasing on your recommendation. Probably the first black metal band that I ever listened to (then). I still dig that album out on occasion 🤘
Mastodon Rips, no matter what anyone says lol. Its hard to find a band with so much talent that shares equal parts with the creativity and songwriting. Just that song "the beast" on that record is a good example. Holy Moly, and of course "More than i could chew" rips your heart out. Another gut wrenching moment is that solo on "had it all" although it was done by that feller in Soundgarden, super visceral tone and notes though🤘💪
Good call with Trey as your drummer, his drum sound is killer.. especially his snare and fills. With so many drum patterns sounding computerized he brings a lot of the human element to it🤘
It's good to see you on. I hope all is well with the family and store. I haven't been to many shows lately. Just picked up tickets for the Judas Priest/Sabaton tour. I'm also going to see Drowning Pool next month. Keep rockin Eddie 🤘
Hey man one more comment I promise I got a love/hate blackout in the red room o.g. pic disc I wanna give it to you for a congrats prezzy for the new store bro and no will not be accepted my dööd
I’ve been a Samael fan since Blood Ritual came out. I have the first three albums and EP on cd. The title track from the Rebellion ep is one of my favorite songs of theirs. I wasn’t to in to anything of theirs after Rebellion. But I do enjoy a couple songs like The Cross, Angel’s Decay, and Rain.
DESOLOUS FUCKIN SLAYZ.. THAT DEMONCY ALBUM FUKKKIN KILLZ ALSO.. KILLER SHEEEIT DÖÖD..YÖU RÖÖL BRÜTHA AND MAY ALL ROADS CONTINUE TO RISE WITH REALMS OF ROCK/METAL🥃🍺🤜🏻🔥🤛🏻🕯💀🕯🔥🔱👹🔥
Pink Floyd was a memorable show. Completely unforgettable. If you remember, that was your birthday present lol. Me, you, that family friend of my family, Steve and his buddy Ray who subsequently passed away not too long ago and you comically called "The Razor" from Judgment Night lol. By far one of the best concerts I ever saw and honored to share that experience with you brother man. And to Eddie's followers; YES! That version of Comfortably Numb is absolutely stellar and probably one of my favorite songs of all time, and that rendition is one of my favorite songs of all time. Rock on my friend 🤘
Good to see you again! You’re doing a great job with REALMS OF ROCK. I’ve only been hearing positive things about it. By the way, killer shirt and hat!
MY MAN EDDIE SO GLAD THINGS ARE GOING GOOD MAN ! OH SNAP THREW ME OFF NO IS;ANDER HAT.... AND THAT MEGADETH TOUR FROM CLASH OF THE TITANS I'M PRETTY SURE THEY ALWAYS OPENED WITH HOOK IN MOUTH
Fuckin sweet! Divine Intervention is one of the best freakin Slayer albums. Vincent’s material is amazing. Under The Hanging Tree is easily top 5 of his entire body of work. Thank you for the kind words brother.
Divine intervention actually got me into Slayer, I heard all the earlier stuff as a pre-teen but wasn't into it that much, I thought it stunk compared to Suicidal and some of the other crossover stuff as a skater kid, but that one really impressed me and got me on the back catalogue
@@KaaiHawaiianDeathMetal yeah man, I came to really appreciate Slayer when I first saw them live in the mid 90s, before that I was really into the anarchist/ atheist stuff, and all the anti-authority punk/crossover and I remember the guitar magazines talking about Slayers Satanic scale and I thought it was tremendous BS and they just sucked haha, but seeing them live opened my eyes and I became a beleiver
You talk about the vinyl being hard to find I have been looking for survive on cd for a very long time . They sell for ridiculous amounts of money on discogs. And that was even a semi major label
Awesome Selection Brother! I had the First 4 Pantera on CD I bought from Sound Exchange a long time ago and gave them away to a huge Pantera fan Yeah I'm a Dumbass Sometimes! 🤘
Any of the Nu Metal bands. I just can’t get into that. When it comes to classic rock acts, The Who, The Doors and The Rolling Stones. They’re not bad, but I just can’t get into them. I respect their musicianship, but the songs don’t click with me. I should like them as I like a lot of their contemporaries, but I just don’t. I have some favorites from them, but that’s it.
Really a great idea for a video and loved to hear! And funny, I would also pick Slipknot, Deicide and Rush, but also System Of A Down, Opeth, Enslaved and Machine Head. Cheers from far away Switzerland
Emperor formed when they were still teenagers. They had a longer gap between their 1st and 2nd albums because Samoth went to jail for a little bit for church burning, and Faust went to prison for murder. By the time they recorded their last album, Ihsahn was writing all the music, and Samoth wasn't into it anymore, so they split in 2001. They play reunion shows every few years for album anniversaries.
