Retired Amateur quad (ATV) racer in a cross-country series called IXCR. I will be trying to share my knowledge I have gained over the years working on powersports vehicles. Mine did this today, I talked to a Yamaha mechanic and he suggested it to be the Choke cable being stuck, I messed around with the choke cables and it later started and drove like usual. Don't know if this was the same problem but mine also smoke really dark smoke when full throttle in neutral. I don't know exactly if this was the problem but it now runs again.
Crazy to think, I watched these videos when they first came out when I was like 15-16 and a 450r became my dream quad because of your videos and I finally got one
kwispeh That’s amazing! RU-vid did the same for me. I watched videos when I was about 14 and a 450r was all I ever wanted. Sadly I don’t ride much now cause I’m 21 with a full time job but I really want to post more videos here in about a year or two. But I’m glad you finally got one! Hope you have a blast on it like I did! 🤟🏼
eat_sleep_ixcr I loved the riding to school when I was younger, always wanted to do that but my parents were too strict lol it’s a blast and I look forward to seeing some posts again!
We ride like this in my community and have since the 90’s but we also get the law called on us and have to run down a dirt road. It’s one hell of a rush but it gets aggravating esp when you just wanna take the ole lady around the block once. Nice bike though my first one was a 07 trx450 electric start. I put so many miles on that thing before I got my license it was ridiculous lol.

Notsavagepinks I didn’t want to either. But now I am in college and trying to get the dean of students to let me ride my quad through campus if I make the deans list 🤙🏻
rzl07375 plus one front end. No engine mods. Front 450r shocks and a raptor 660 rear shock. Made it float like a cloud. Fmf exhaust. Fmf jet kit. That was pretty much it. It was a sweet little bike.
eat_sleep_ixcr Thanks man. I picked up a mint 98 with no mods and minimal hours for $900. still has stock tores with hardly any wear on them so I know it wasnt beat on. Gonna turn into a woods machine.
mine wasn't getting enough air flow when it did this. I just took off the air filter cover and it was all good. ( Obviously this video was from 2013 and it's 2017 now. This comment is just incase someone with this similar problem watches this video ).
