I'm in Little Rock, Arkansas and we also have a lot of rivers and creeks that just wind through the landscape. During Summer a friend and I walked a creek about 5 miles just doing what you're doing just without the canoe. There was a couple areas that we had to swim through and that was sketchy. Ever since then I've always wanted to get a kayak/canoe of some sort to do something similar - just float along and check it out minus the barefoot adventure. Edit: Came back to like the video, thanks for the adventure.
