Do you know that a majority of people in india dont even know what is architecture. They call me architecture. They want free designs. Or designs at a very low cost, which non-architects are willing to work for. Instead of doing some pr, making people aware of this profession, you are just making things difficult for us. Please believe me this profession is on the verge of extinction. If you continue with your insensible actions, then there will be no more a profession called 'Architecture'. If my juniors who are currently in highschools ask me about joining architecture, then will say 'No' to them. How ridiculous is this? After clearing entrance exams, spending "5 years" in a college just for graduation, I have to give an exit exam? Why? I could have got a bachelor's and masters degree in the same period of time. And these colleges are such loots, they took 80k tution fees for free, when i was at the internship. Why dont you take any actions against them and spare us poor people?
So true and infact we spend over 10 lakh in education. If I speak for myself coming from a non- architecture middle class family background,my parent's expectations are way higher from me..... But the salaries we get as soon as we get out working are the same that we can get working for a call center (that too as a fresher). I completely agree to your point about creating awareness about architecture.... Institutions like IIA must work for creating awareness about Architecture as a profession.... Just like some damn other advertising... Advertise for the profession... What is the importance of an architect- like programmes...
@@devanshdoshi3979 can't agree more with you....its such a heart break i m currently a b.arch 4th year student i currently have no hope for this profession it does not give me any confidence to go ahead.
