So excited that you're reading Ruthless Vows! I actually really love Divine Rivals. It did feel fast... but I love the historical god war vibes of it. It feels SO different 🥹 AHHH, but hearing you talk about it makes me a little sad... because the ending did set up for some angst and struggles. You ending it at 4 ⭐ gives me hopes though! I also finished Villains Are Destined to Die a couple of months back and I enjoyed it! Not the best, not a lot of romance, but interesting premise... a little different than the usual regression manhwas.
I read ruthless vows pretty quickly but the first half felt so boring but i agree the ending was devastating and definitely improved my thoughts on it.
Me while seeing your face 😧 Man god gave u some serious beauty Have you got Instagram Can u give me by any chance Sorry if I am being uncomfortable 😮💨
omg lol so relate-able about how I felt with Ali Hazelwood. The first two I read from her (Love Hypothesis & Love Theoretically) were such GOOD books but the next few just didn't hit the right spots 😩 Bride/Not in Love weren't bad but just wasn't as spectacular as I felt when I read the first 2 books. Also relate-able about being in my manhwa phase except now I'm out of it because all the good ones are currently on a little bit of a hiatus 😭
I feel the absolute same about Ali Hazelwood books but the next book she's coming out (DeepDive?), not so much because I'm not a sports romance girly haha. AHH I'm so excited to read Ruthless Vows!! Seems like you also really enjoyed it. I did hope there was going to be a bit of angst so I'm kind of sad that there isn't going to have that 😭😭 I read so many manhwas in June; my favorite was definitely Villains are Destined to Die!
youtube rec'd this vid to me and i saw the erha novels (the wonton scene was DEVASTATING) and the le sserafim poster and that means an automatic sub from me! ^-^
if you feel comfy enough to read the all for the game do so- i will say it deals with very heavy topics and its brought up in discussions in such a casual way, but the characters are all so different and (as you said) traumatized. the thing that i like about this series is the characters individually and together. they all have experienced trauma but deal with it in their own way. secondly, as the story goes on, they build insane relationships and embody the found family trope. again, trigger warrnings are important and read it if and only if you are comfortable enough
Oh my gooosh, you need to read the Once Upon a Broken Heart series (although, I recommend starting with the Caraval series before reading OUABH, but you don't have to! They're essentially the in the same world/share some of the same characters and are all enemies to lovers) and if you want the very text-book definition of "enemies-to-lovers" then the Cruel Prince is excellent!
2Ha Thai version has 10 volume I can guarantee you the last 3 volumes will make you cried uncontrollably XD I was like hee hee haa haa this is fine at first but the last 3 was no joke (but personally Yuwu is so much sadder, I was crying back to back none stop.
So relateable with the messy desk, while watching Stephanie Soo 😂 Though I usually watch Rotten Mango more often. I'm so sorry that you have some people just using your inks 😩 That sounds so frustrating. I usually don't like reading incompleted series because of that too! I'm so impatient lol
So far, I adore this story the most. Best plot in the historical drama category. Plot heavy with the right amount of romance and showcases the character development of both MC/ML well.. and it's not the kind of book that makes you lose braincells or go stupid 😂
honestly this story altered my brain chemistry, and i wanted it to be released in english so badly that i was so excited when seven seas announced the english license. and now i have volume 1, and volume 2 was just announced for september.
I had high hopes for the Chestnut Springs series, it's unfortunate that it really just focused on the physical aspect 😩 Your life is too short to not DNF! Don't feel too bad about DNFing them!! Sometimes the books are just not there. Hoping your June month will be full of 5 stars! May seemed a little bit rough but at least now you got the bad ones out of the way, right? 😅
I got the book that wouldn’t burn like a year ago and I’ve never read it 😂 Also yes I love romance and fantasy too. I recently read a good girl’s guide to murder.. as a fantasy reader I wouldn’t have picked up a murder mystery on my own. But I LOVED it. Also the tbr lists are great. I’ve been making one in my journal 🥰
I was like you before. I would almost only read romance and fantasy but then I started to challenge myself to try books I would never read but who seemed really interesting and now I almost do not read fantasy and romance and I actually enjoy reading a lot more actually but happy to see people read a lot. We tend to spend too much time on our phones now.
Watching a show before the novelization is a blessing & a curse. I like that I don’t have to make up the voices & soundtrack. But I also had a hard time reading tcgf because it is so similar & a slower pace than the donghua. That’s why I’m gonna wait to read the Apothecary Diaries novels. I don’t know if you’ve seen or read My Happy Marriage but I enjoyed the novels even after seeing the anime because of the fast pace & more details about characters & world building.
I'm someone who reads the LN and the manga (not this particular one... still need get around to it 😅) But I generally find that the LNs have more subtle details and primarily in one character's perspective completely. Whereas in the manga, you're usually seeing it in 3rd person with one specific character's thoughts revealed to you. But you finishing all those volumes in a span of one month on top of other videos?! 😲 You read so fast!!
Did you read it in Chinese or English? If you can read Chinese, I’d strongly recommend the audio drama! The voice actors for Shen Lanzhou and Xiao Chiye are extraordinary! Every VA in the drama is brilliant.
Oh this is such a good idea!! Mood with when the author just doing too much with the spice -- I feel like sometimes they add in as a romance ~dupe~ but it's so hard to feel the feelings between them 😩 Sorry dunno if that makes any sense. The Fake Out seemed optimistic for me but then I realize that I probably wouldn't want to read it if it's just focus on physical too much at the end (instead of wrapping up the story cleanly).
Saaame! I so relate when you say you want to see the romance bits after they get together 😩 It's almost like I'm getting no pay off after learning about their growth. That's literally a make or break for me in romance. Grats on completing the 20+ read books!!🥰
