It’s also a bad habit to ignore the door chime. It will inevitably lead to locking the keys in the vehicle at some point. This video is spot-on. My 2000 Pontiac Montana uses this key and something is wrong with the ignition cylinder such that it releases the key when it isn’t fully in the Off position. This means the exciter stays energized and kills the battery. I usually catch it thanks to the door chime but it still happens every couple of months or so, which has totally ruined my battery.
Came here to say I’m gonna have to replace the alternator on my gfs escape hybrid. This is misinformation and im mad this came up while trying to find a video on how to do it
David, thank you for sharing your experience with how the DTC-C1300 error code. I purchased a 2017 Toyota Prius Two a month ago with 86000 miles on it. I have been experiencing two issues. I noticed an off-angle steering wheel during my initial test drive, I mentioned this to the sales rep who was with me on the test drive, and I figured it was probably an alignment issue. The second more recent was a less-than-responsive brake pedal. I broke out the FIXD scan tool to see if there were any issues. Sure enough, it displayed a C1300 code. Being that there are no warnings on the dashboard should I be worried?
I’m confused about the “do not run compressor with high side valves open” there’s no other videos on YT saying that when checking pressures and charging system. ???
HELP! my 21 4runner is showing smart key system malfunction, we tried everything from the manual but the car wouldn't start. it only cranks, it has the factory remote starter and it does not work. all remote locks and unlock works, accessories etc etc works. it cranks normal as if it about to start. it is towed to the dealership but they have not found the issues yet. HELP!
I wish you had shown us how to calibrate the skid ECU. I'm half knowledgeable about cars... the other half I try to figure out on as I go. I have Toyota Techstream and pulled a used one from local yard. The instructions on how to program the replacement skid ECU seem to very convoluted and confusing to read and there are 0 youtube videos on calibrating it once you've replaced the unit. In fact your video is only one I've found even mentioning skid ECU specifically on a 2nd generation Prius.
Old machine eeld601 lights come on and then shut off , I check pressure on the air and the battery power connections . Did this rice ans on third try the lights would not come on . Now unit fell over in the car maybe a wire came loose ?
Thank you Ron, short but cool insights. So, if idle 30~40kPA is like 18~21in.Hg, then 25kPa is like well below 17in.Hg and perhaps something wrong mechanically?
Whenever a man crosses his hands in front of his privates, it signifies great INSECURITY and FEAR. It is called FIG LEAFING. Very effeminate and quite unmanly. Reshoot video. Stand up straight. Shoulders back. Toes pointing outward. Hands on hips like Superman. Then start the camera.
It still amazes me that shops purchase these stupid ass recovery machines and that auto techs apparently can't use normal hvac tools to charge up a simple AC system in a car. There is no freakin way I am buying a $12000 machine to replace a $200 vacum pump, a $100 set of gauges and if you want to get really fancy another $400 for a recovery machine that you really don't even need for such a small system. You get a recovery tank, pull a vacum on it, open the valve and suck the gas out of the car boom done with $300 worth of tools. You get a digital kitchen scale and place your tank of refrigerant on it, do the maths and figure out how much refrigerant you need and pull a vacum on the car, bleed the air out of your hoses and open the valve and suck your one pound of gas back into the car. IDK if any of you have ever met your average HVAC tech, but they ain't brain surgeons and they do this process every day without a friggin $12000 machine to walk them through it....

i recently had the timing belt and sump cleaned and the engine light was not removed. Could error P0014 be related to the work done relating to this work done which was supposed to resolve errors P15A8 at all? Is the work the mechanic carried out incomplete?
This is the best explanation I got about Negetive Fuel Trims. Especially the latest information regarding oil contamination. This has been my case 👏👏👏👏👏👏🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
