These trolleybuses will really be missed. I love the classic pneumatic motors and to think that all of them will be gone by 2026 is disheartening. These vehicles are from my childhood and will always have a special place in my heart.
How many Skoda 14Tr and Skoda 15Tr trolleybuses are there in service in Vilnius right now? I'm asking, because I will go to Vilnius tomorrow and I would like drive with them, and I was there last year, but I was only 2 days, and I only was with 2 Skoda 14Tr trolleybuses and not for long. On which Lines are these Trolleybuses operating mostly? And are they out at weekend, too?
@@oldbusfan796 all lines are using them. 132x 14Tr and 3x 15Tr are active. However the 15Trs aren’t in service for now due to lack of demand on summer holidays. They will return to service on September 1st. The first 27x 14Trs are off to the scrapyard.
I was with 5 different Skoda 14 Tr trolleybuses in Vilnius, I had 6 rides, because I was with Piece 1610 twice on the Line 6 at the late evening of 09. 08. 2024. The Skoda 14Tr-s were out at the weekends too, but on that days they gone home early, so at Saturday, 10th of August 2024, I saw a couple of them, but on the evening hours I couldn't even saw them, so at that day I wasn't with any Skoda 14Tr, but on Sunday, 11. 08. 2024., I began the journey to catch Skoda 14Tr, so I was with 2 Pieces on the Line 7, and later I was with Piece 2646, which has leather seats, I catched it on the Line 3, on a depot ride, after then I photographed the new trolleys, and the Skodas, I even saw one Skoda 15Tr, but a guard came out, so then I gone out at another street. When will the new Skoda 32Tr trolleybuses start operating? I'm asking, because I was in Vilnius to get the old Skodas, which will be replaced soon.
