Hi! I'm Liz and I like to empower people through making. My biggest love affair is with sewing, but I also knit, crochet, paint, sculpt, and play the ukulele. I'm very drawn to vintage fashion, beauty, and aesthetics, specifically from the 1930s to the 1950s. My intention is to inspire you and help you create beautiful things for yourself so you can live your own extra, fantasy life too.

As someone who’s worked with leather can tell you: DONT UNDERESTIMATE THE HOLE PUNCHES lol. Most folks have a piece of scrap wood specifically for that purpose in case it does go through, so next time, you might want to have something similar handy. Thanks for your review of this pattern, really helped me understand it more.
Bless you for making this 😂 I have actually tried to get this cut from a couple hair stylists and they are just not getting it unfortunately. Now I'm in desperate need of a cut and am so I found this!! ❤
Grateful to have stumbled upon this older video of yours. Y'know, I'm startled and in dismay over just how ignorant so many working young hairdressers today are. They have no clue about history, niche subcultural references and about vintage styling in general. When you find a great hairdresser who speaks your language and has the skills and work ethic, hang onto 'em and pay 'em every penny they want as they're precious and rare.
Thank you for the comment of 'I think I just missed the measurements' and then fully emailing cuz that is the only reason I was looking for a video.since I am plus size and have a small waist to bigger bust ratio I don't need it to squeeze for hourglass figure I just need to know nothing will be spilling out when playing a cute hobbit. But not given a approximate just means I am now 3 mock ups deep and watching this video!
I think you look more like a young Sherilyn Fenn (circa "Twin Peaks" era) than Winona Ryder, but you are definitely gorgeous in your own right! Fantastic cosplay and tutorial!
Hi Liz, Debbie here, I am wanting to make my Husband some 1940 style trousers(pants) so any help will be aprpreciated and if you can recommend a pattern? Love your channel, Many thanks x x
I cannot seem to get the hang of releasing from the curler and pinning it up nicely - my hair just seems to want to spring around in every which direction. Any tips for getting those lovely round rolls?
Three years later. I see this video . Btw, I tend to get little (occasionally gigantic) blemishes in two places, my chin, and right between my eyes. Lol!! I finally realized that 1. My glasses trap sweat between my eyes(that and the friction), and 2. I tend to either rest my face in my hand, cradle the phone against my cheek, or in simply (for some unknown reason) touching my chin a lot. SMH! It's frustrating to be at an older age, needing wrinkle cream, and still breaking out! Lol! Thanks for sharing your experiment!
You are stunningly beautiful, that pin curl hair set really flatters you. You look like a brunette Marylin Monroe. That red christmas dress with the snowflakes is soooooo cute!
