I would prefer just having skills challenges, but if we absolutely had to keep the game, I love the minor leaguers vs big leaguers idea. I would split the skills challenges up between minor and major leaguers though. Also, to force the hands of big name players - if you are one of the best 8 HR hitters you can’t refuse the HR Derby unless it’s an IL, bereavement, or restricted list stint. Subject to not being able to attend the ASG events.
At this point. Baseball has to make the events more interesting, cause the sport as a whole is struggling to appeal to younger baseball fans as well as causal fans are trying to get into baseball.
The Mets are a dysfunctional “family” (more like an orphanage) with a faith based slogan (Ya Gotta Believe) that doesn’t inspire winning and success, and they create gimmicks that only help to sell tickets in a segmented fashion, just to show the circus that is the on-field product.
The way they treated Wille Randolph was so disrespectful I pondered if it was race related. I think it was. How dare Minaya say to the media that they’ll evaluate Randolph’s position after they come back from the West Coast trip, then fly to the West Coast, fire him while there, which means he had to pay his way back to NY to clear his locker. Disrespectful!
They used the Dodger Blue and Giants Orange colors, which also happen to be the colors on the NYC Flag (which is the sole reason the Knicks use those similar colors). But the Mets also use the pinstripes on their jerseys to honor the Yankees. That never made sense to me, why are they honoring their crosstown “rivals”? Why are the Yankees rivals anyway?
That’s a great point, however, that is having a detrimental effect on pitchers because they feel like they have to max effort all the time. Thanks for sharing your thoughts we appreciate it!
Who should replace Akins and Schneider in your opinion? We appreciate your feedback, thanks for watching we are live again tomorrow night at 8 pm EST. Check us out!
Bulls should’ve gone for a 7th title, they’ve been garbage since. No reason for Huston to blow it up. That core of Altuve, Alvarez, Tucker, Diaz and Peña will be competitive for years.
McNeil is one to talk. 3 feet off the plate slide on Arcia. McNeil is salty because he never turns the double play when Rhys on first. Going back to Phillies days.
You don't put a team together during the off-season without prepared for anything, even if it involves one of the best players, its spring training, and an opportunity, for others to prove their worth, if Cashman did his job well, like he's done numerous times before, the team will be fine
