My name is Brant Moore, I've ridden BMX and uploaded to RU-vid since 2006. I upload to RU-vid every day on anything from tutorials to news, podcasts, riding sessions, tips/tricks, bmx for beginners, riding edits, live streamed interviews and much more! I ride as much as humanly possible during the day, but also have always had a passion for reptiles. Back in 2016 I bred crested geckos just for the enjoyment and here we are again.
Such a loss for the community to lose Sostic, I've been watching his videos for years. His geckos were top quality and I miss seeing them. I can only hope he returns someday.
Personally I think it adds to much stress to both animals by moving them to a new enclosure to breed just stick the male in the females cage for a few nights and wait a month gor eggs ur making this harder then what is has to be
I got a four shelf wire rack, 5 feet tall, 18 inches deep, and three feet wide, on wheels, from Amazon about a year and a half ago for a great price. It was like 80 bucks. I love it. Solid as a rock. Love the wheels. Got a nice set of shelf liners for next to nothing as well. The depth isn't _quite_ 18in, or else the base of my gecko viv is slightly more than 18.
I must have been typing the wrong thing in when searching or something!! haha You and Kevin should stay here sometime so I can show you guys all my geckos
@@moore_reptiles completely agree! I have a clutch thats at almost 90 days now so the anticipation has skyrocketed lol but if this hobby has taught me anything its patience
Heck yea, that’s like the best compliment anyone could give and it would be pretty awesome to have someone who commented on this original unboxing buy one of the offspring that come from her!
Awesome cap! Might have to hit you up for some of those 50% het caps. Im breeding one of my visual axanthic males to one of my caps next season. This season im breeding a cap to a softscale lilly. Frapps are really cool!
I feel so lucky to have gotten this one, thank you! Definitely stay tuned. I will be documenting the whole journey from pairing to eggs to hatching. Awesome that you'll have some 100% capps after the pair you're talking about. Frapps are really awesome and the variance with them is nuts. Thanks for watching!
I’ve heard of these Cresties not eating in a larger enclosures and you moving to the smaller enclosure is the best move. They want their natural diet, not just the sweet smelling packaged meals by Pangia. My 1yo Gizmo from #BHB loves Dubia roaches 😅, looks like you have some beautiful adults. I’m a newby to cresties , I have majority my reptile experience from my 13yo bearded dragon Levi.
So awesome seeing another new breeders projects. Im currently in my first season, got 1 clutch of eggs incubating right now. Very excited to see what you produce!
@@moore_reptiles its a 100% het axanthic high coverage lilly white male to a red porthole phantom female. Shooting for high white red lilly whites. That male is going to my visual axanthic girl later this year, she needs to do some growing still. Mid season i got a softscale lilly to a cappuccino. Just waiting on that boy to get some weight on him
Congrats on your pairings! I started my first leopard gecko breeding project recently and have eggs in the incubator. It's been nice to see another new breeders progress 🤘
I don't have any reptiles but this is a nightmare for any pet owner. Glad she's okay. I used to have rats and definitely was a big fear of mine that they'd get into trouble with something I put in their for them.
Thank you. Definitely something I'll always consider after this happened and it's so easy to not think about it. Especially when you buy something that's made specifically for the type of animal you have.
Funny, I just recently had this concern as I was 3D printing some climbing tubes for my cresties. Decided to cap the ends so they don't try to wedge themselves in the tubes and get stuck. Glad you're getting the word out, and glad your girl is safe.
That's absolutely a great idea because we all know they definitely would find a way in there and get themselves stuck! haha Thank you and thanks for watching!!
That combination definitely seems like it could be very very dark with the right animals. Feel like with how people talk about super soft scale accentuating color that it could go either way but my knowledge is super limited and I have no experience in it. I do hope you are able to make it happen! I'm sure you can!
, if you pay attention when it walk it doesn't curl up it's toes like others do. And theirs a video of him putting the gecko under running water and it gets wet, but cresties are suppose to be hydrophobic so the water should not be sticking?
