Hello, it's very good what you do with your videos, people discover a little about the watchmaking profession, there are 2-3 things that you can correct, I'll give you a little example (your kitten on the counter cast pivot). On the other hand, you will let me know if you can understand me with the translation.

Just a constructive critique. Can you put the camera at an angle? So your hands do not block the view everytime.

Have a rotor where the edge displaces. You can see at start of video that thin strip on edge of rotor. Does that mean it's time for a new rotor?

Dear video creator, hello! Please tell me, what is the height of the shaft (rod) on the ETA 7750 (7753) model? Overall, height 7.9mm, diameter 30mm. I want to put this mechanism in my watch, but I don’t know if the height of the shaft (rod) is suitable

Hi, yes wanna see the front dial, because i've made few attempt like that, with very parametric point soldering machine, and I always face a tiny discoloration on the front, never achieve a perfert solder

Telling us how to release the dial would have been helpful. We aren't all lucky enough to work on a watch with a loose dial.

Many seem concerned about the risk of damaging the dial finish with heat. Has anyone here tried placing the front of the dial on a wet cloth or sponge while soldering the feet?

Hey Stuart thanks for the interesting video. I was quite amazed by the way you oil the escapement. We were thought to oil the face of the exit palet stone for about half or two thirds, and repeat every five teeth of the escape wheel. That makes it rather difficult to get it right every time. So I immediately tried it your way and boy what an improvement and a consistency like no other. Thanks for the lesson and I could kick myself for not coming up with this method myself ;-)

Awesome job brother! I'm about to change the dial on my Chronomat (7750) for the first time and I am wondering, can the seconds hand become out of sync somehow if I don't put it back exactly where I lifted it off? I figured I would hack it, release the stem, take out the movement, change the dial and then just put the hands back on exactly as they were before I changed the dial or do a reset by going to midnight then just pop the stem back in, sounds okay? Any tips? Very nervous about this. Have a good day!

My Breitling Navitimer clone with automatic 7750 movement has been hard to wind lately and the crown doesn't want to push in all the way, sometimes I have to pull it out and push it back in a few times before it will start ticking. Will you tell me what it might be or what I can check? It's only about a year old.

Almost the same thing happened to my relatively new watch. The chronograph won't reset and later the movement stopped. I found a screw head stuck on top of the rotor. Is that a common occurrence on 7750's?

Same here but with an 'older' watch: 8 year old Fortis 7750 ... Gladly it was an easy fix (90 €) - first worse case estimation was around 800 € for a full repair. However I wouldn't have been mad - I work in the industry, the watch got no service so far and I use it DAILY (been to concerts and so on with it, too). 7750s are called 'tanks' for a reason :-)

Question. You mention around 6:00 that the dial is loose, and thus the day disc is as well. When I recently installed my first day disc, it clicked imto place, and seemed secure (i.e. not floating). It functions properly. Should it float, and be secured by the dial?

I'm guessing that none of these (Chinese?) parts are drop-in replacements for Swiss ETA parts. ETA won't sell parts to us unwashed masses anymore along with every other Swiss brand.

Thank you for the excellent video. I have a question, if I may ask. I have a Breitling chronomat which has only the date window (numeric) but not the DAY of the week. Surfing the web, I see no reference to this configuration or variant of the 7750. Does that mean that it is the same movement as the date AND day where the day crown is simply removed? In other words, if I can find a 7750 with both date and day, will it fit in or will I have to annihilate the day feature by some procedure? Thank you if you can answer this concern of mine. Best regards.

This was so helpful, thanks for such a detailed assembly and demonstration. I'm in the middle of a teardown of a Fortis with a modified 7750 GMT, which is really interesting -- it was modified to remove the day feature, move the date to 4:30, and add a 4th subregister at 3:00 with a small 24hr hand. The 2nd crown position quicksets the date, but also can jump the main hour hand backwards 1 hr at a time, without affecting the 24hr hand, so it's like a real "flyer" GMT unlike the usual ETA/Sellita versions that just jump the GMT hand. The date even moves backward with the jumping main hour! It's clearly a Fortis mod, they didn't even replate over where they drilled out new recesses in the calendar bridge for the modified work. Super unusual!
