I’d love to buy one but responsibility is holding me back!

I've been eyeing this board for quite some time now. I am not going to get it. Simply because I already have 3 Crisloid boards. 2 of them are the Champion size and the other 1 is a tournament board. I went the custom route on 2 of the boards. I'm a lover of vintage games and Crisloid has this in Spades. For one of the boards I did a modern day take on a vintage classic Crisloid board. They actually did a wonderful job in recreating the look of Bakelite/Catalin green and butterscotch checkers. The other board has red and white Legacy points and a black case. For that board I have real Bakelite/Catalin checkers that are red and butterscotch. For my 3rd board I have a tabletop stock board in brown. Again I have real Bakelite/Catalin checkers that are brown and butterscotch. Love my Crisloids but the cork is soft and if you are your opponent has nails. You might accidentally gouge the board. Just something to be mindful of. These are built to last. So long as you have proper storage for them. I've seen some vintage Crisloid boards and ask. Where the heck were they stored at? Probably in the garage or attic. Keep them out of the elements and the board should last for generations. Marc Olsen has one and did an overview of his during a collection video.

Thanks for the video. I am thinking of getting a Crisloid for my backgammon mentor. Her's was stolen years ago, and her current board, a Wycliffe Bros, is pretty beat up!

That's very kind of you to do that for your mentor. I am sure a Crisloid will last her for years! Does she like the Wycliffe Bros board? Is it good quality? I looked at those also but settled on a Crisloid...

Love it man! Great video and thanks for sharing! Your "Oh, wow!" took me right back to when I opened mine. The size is something to get used to, but dang is it fun to play on. Make sure to keep the black dice when you play others 😆😉 But you've got a board that will be with you for years to come. I'm still loving mine as much as the day I opened it. Great boards. Cheers! 😀

@@JH-xp8od You bet! 😀 Also, if you haven’t, it’s definitely worth venturing into using the cube (if you haven’t already). It’s daunting, but it really ups the fun if you have time for a match 👍🏻😃 Love the retro look of your red one. Cheers!
