Hi Brent, No, the two sides added together are probably less than half the thickness of the skeg. I made them so that I could get my fingers into them even if wearing gloves.
Hi Brent, no, just photos. I followed your build of Shackleton and to a lesser extend Hagarth, picking up several tips and ideas along the way, thank you. Am I right in thinking that you sold both of them? Are you building other boats these days?
You are certainly welcome!! Yes, I sold both of them and just completed building a Pocketship from CLCboats. And, I'm toying with building another Scamp...just to see if I could improve it. I must love boat building.@@chrisowen2703
Hi Andrew, The SCAMP International Registry (www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/viewer?hl=en&ie=UTF8&msa=0&ll=-3.81666561775622e-14%2C4.921875&spn=145.944866%2C298.828125&z=1&source=embed&mid=129tNiYRxzCIyPoNWebyK2MT5ukU) suggests that there are at least two complete in the UK, one near London and one in the NorthEast (and lots of plan holders out there). I’ve seen a photo of the NorthEast one but no more details than that. I’m located in Devon, near Exeter, so if you’re ever down this way let me know, as yet my SCAMP is still in build but should be finished later this year.
@@chrisowen2703 Very kind of you to include the link to the International Registry, I am in London so will look up the local boat first, thank you so much. Andrew
