Love it! I was impressed by the stylish women's fashions - and by the labor of love someone put into photographing each page of this huge catalog! I was a little girl in 1964, and I loved thumbing through my mom's Penney's catalog each year. Thank you to the person who put so much TLC into photographing and posting this!

I recently went to your website to look at some Sears catalogs, but the scans were quite pixelated. Why is that? By comparison, the scans shown on your videos are of a higher quality.
Excellent question. The answer is bandwidth and cost: The website has a limited, fixed outbound bandwidth from a privately hosted server. Smaller, lower resolution images can only be served from the website due to that limitation. Other higher-speed hosting options, such as from Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services, or Microsoft Azure are not possible due to higher hosting costs. However, higher resolution videos of the catalog images can be put on RU-vid because it is being hosted by RU-vid at no cost.
When clothes looked tailored and classic. sigh Just spotted my first king-size bedspread that I bought and now shake my head and wonder why on earth I chose that one. Just ugh.
Thank you for the catalog show. My Mom probably had this catalog in our house, in 1979. Meanwhile, in Spring 2024, it's hard as hell to find a JCPenney store to go shopping in. How times have changed.

We are currently working through a bunch of JCPenney seasonal catalogs in the next few months. We do have plans to acquire and work on more Montgomery Ward seasonal catalogs (both Spring/Summer & Fall/Winter). Thank you for the suggestion, and we will use that to help prioritize what we work to acquire, scan and post here on this RU-vid channel (as well as on christmas.musetechnical.com )
