Ohio St and Michigan always get the varsity refs (the same ones who are willing to make a bad call in their favor if the need arises). Nebraska always gets the middle school "B" refs.
Of course they will bounce back. They have a powder puff schedule and will win all the way up until they play a real team. Purdue, rutgers and indiana its not exactly murders row.
Huskers next three games may not exactly be "murderers row" but they are hardly powder puffs. Huskers will be tested in every one of them and it is questionable whether they will win enough games to be bowl eligible this year. As a team they don't appear to be appreciably better than last year other than at quarterback. Line play is subpar on both sides of the ball.
The Nebraska media constantly overhype's this program every year and constantly feeds us kool-aid ...these guys sell us ocean front property with every word 365 days a year.
Unfortunately I think the answer to the mental issues is graduating the players that have lost an unbelievable number of one score games. Their fears have been realized at such a high rate that I just don’t see them getting past it.
People are negative because they watched a good team throw the game. DBs just falling down when their guy makes a catch, DBs not even moving when a guy runs past, horrible officiating.
When a bad team with a terrible HC comes into your house on a HISTORIC night and beats up your football team.... What do you expect? Dylan was the only player on that team who played to win.
Huskers goal HAS NOT changed! They are a playoff team that still has a favorable route to the CFB playoffs. Huskers had a bad game plan...and didn't adjust well. Huskers still a 10-2 team. gonna be a fun run!
Have to disagree on I’ll qb, if someone offered you a certain salary to do your job(this is a job) and they are profiting from your work, they have to pay you what they offered you.
Its not the end of the phukin world the gloom and doom maintain media doesn't help. Matt Rhule mentioned that he rather loss a game early in the season than later, the hit from Illinois was the blueprint template for future reference going forward. The issue with most husker zealots you have your heads so far up your asses in the past you refuse to embrace and envision the present and the cutting-edge future of collegiate and Nebraska football. 🙄
Yes I will admit it, I bought into the hype that everybody was feeling after the first two games. But after reflection, and calming myself down. I see that we're still on the course that we need to be on for a spectacular season, and post season.
The ILL loss was brutal as a hardcore fan I moved on, didn't lose faith in the team and still think they will do great things this year! However personally if they lose the Purdue game I'm out, I'm not going to drink any more rhule aid or watch any other games.... we better dominate purdue!!!! GBR ☠️ ☠️ ☠️ ☠️
Careful now... Around here optimism equates with drinking the Kool-Aid. And we can't have that. Can we. I took the week off from all you guys just too damn negative. I think all these sports reporting folks from Nebraska have this well-worn template on how to criticize a loss and break down everything that everyone did wrong and then because they are all suffering from post terrible coaching disorder PTCD You could cut and paste any story over the last several years. All the baggage from all the losses and all the bad decisions and all the coaching screw-ups for the last 10 years have to be drawn into this discussion. You ever have a heated discussion with a significant other and instead of focusing on the issue at hand, they have to bring up everything you've ever disagreed about every time you were ever disappointing them blah blah blah. Change a few names and numbers and you guys wouldn't even have to work that hard. We've got a first round draft pick and then we're ragging on him and wondering if he is really the guy. Nothing wrong with criticism but I think it's time to turn the Page. One game at a time. Let's focus on that. Uh GBR
I feel great about the team. I think the defense comes out on fire. I think our offense is good and will be better. Also think a focus has been put on FG snap as well as the hold as that has been a constant issue and we have a great kicking coach to help all that. The kickers drill kicks beyond 50 during warmups. I think it will improve. I have no worries and still think we win 8-9 games. Banking on 9.
Winning is a culture as you know and this program has lost that culture. There’s plenty of reason to be both optimistic and concerned though there’s more talent on the team than there has been in awhile but the same mistakes are still happening in games like illinois and that’s concerning. Ultimately I believe Nebraska gets back to being 9-10 win team yearly but it may not happen this year.
You guys don't have a clue on the Mazzucua issue, and Robin made some ignorant comments and passed them off as fact. He was in a fight with his position coach. Maybe you should not speak to subjects you have no clue about, @Robin Washut. Perhaps a journalism major doesn't know more than what the freakin coach does.
As a long time Nebraska fan I saw fear on Rhules face in that second half. Fear that he is tied to a culture that sh#ts the bed when pressured late in a game. Purdue to cover all day.
no it dont matter...mad dont win games, talent does....and they have below avg. to avg at best talent on defense....d-line is the avg part, but ineffective to zero pass rush....linebackers are completely invisible in patrolling middle of field 5-10 yards down field, and their blitz packages just dont work affectively....secondary is worst part of defense...completely trash....exposed so bad in ill game as wr's were wide open by 8-10 yards at times...pathetic!....now im sure i will hear crying that i am wrong and our def. is good from 90% of my fellow husker fans and they had one bad game.....complete denial like that main joker corn crazed.....one bad game?....it was the first game we played against a team thats above avg so far all year and we looked lost....in closing our secondary is so trash that white knows we cant play zone so he plays man all day....and man got eaten alive by ill cause they knew we one dementional.....so you think being mad is going to change anything?...not a chance....6-6 if they get lucky....5-7 is most likely.....cold hard facts people!!
The only people I see that hate Friday night football are ones who have to cover the Huskers for TV, radio, newspapers, etc. I think it is preferable to an 11am Saturday kickoff.
I loathe the Friday night games. We almost always lose in a horrible fashion and then it ruins the weekend. I don’t want to watch college football on Saturday after we get our asses kicked and I stay up way too late watching the post game stuff. Then with the bad taste in my mouth I still don’t want to watch football on Sunday. It always sucks the weekend we play on Friday. I don’t care about missing other games “because the Nebraska game is on 😢” Nebraska is the only team I HAVE to watch. Every other game is just background. Plus I’ll never get to GO to the Friday night games and I live in Lincoln. Saturday games are the only way to go.
Nebraska put everything in the game again the Colorado buffaloes couple weeks ago... they wanted to beat the Colorado buffaloes so bad that they didn't have enough left over for the other teams they are playing in the future.
@@carlosgordan2856 I mean I agree i think were going 7-5 or 8-4. Unlike the dieon stans we actually understand that we arent going to the natty and our coaches understand how to take accountability. Unfourtunaley for ur puffaloes i dont think bowling is on the table. Id say 6-6 at best probably 5-7 or 4-8.
