We are a college committed to excellence and the fulfillment of the Great Commission. Our focus is on preparing people to make an impact on every aspect of the world we live in. Since 1924, Northpoint has been a place where men and women from all walks of life come to prepare for life and powerful ministry!
You highlighted the early champions of faith - from Dr. Heroo to Sister Campbell - while I was a student at Zion. Such beautiful memories that are still with us alumni today.
Terribly disappointed by the poor exegesis and the abundant eisegesis in this sermon. Here are just a few examples. 1. At 1:53 - the speaker refers to the woman with the issue of blood touching Jesus and says, "That virtue left him and went into her and it drained Jesus down...somebody drained my power down, somebody drained my anointing down. When she touched him, it drained him." The Bible never speaks about Jesus either feeling or being drained of his divine power by this woman - he acknowledges that virtue left him, but never that he was drained by it doing so. If the doing of miracles or healings or ministry drained Jesus of his divine power, then that infers his divine power has limits, and if Jesus' power is limited then he is not omnipotent, and if Jesus is not omnipotent then Jesus is not God. 2. At 2:05 - the speaker refers to Exodus 16:7 where Israel saw the glory cloud of God in the morning, but the context is that the glory cloud came not to hover over the Israelites but to demonstrate God's presence with them and willingness to provide food for them in response to their grumbling. The scripture never says the glory cloud "settled over all Israel" (as the speaker said) and the Bible never says the glory cloud provided "conditioning" that gave them perfect temperature. 3. At 2:07 - the speaker said, "You can't die in the glory." - If that is the case then why did God's glory in Exodus 16 appear synonymously with God's action of providing food for the Israelites? If you can't die in the glory, then Israel didn't need to eat because they would be in no danger of starving to death. 4. At 2:07 - the speaker said, "Adam lived to be 900 and some odd years...one of the reasons why he lived so long was because he was with God every day in the cool of the evening and the glory was upon and he soaked that glory in and even after he sinned it took a while to kill him because that glory was in his cells." - If that is the case then why did Seth, Enosh, Jared, Methuselah, Noah and other preflood descendants of Adam, born and raised and living outside of the Garden of Eden, outside of God's glory also live to be 900 and some odd years in most cases? 5. At 2:08 - the speaker said, "When God made Adam and Eve they were always naked...only after they sinned did they realize they were naked. But what happened? They were clothed with the glory." - If that is the case then Adam and Eve were not naked before they sinned as they were "clothed with the glory" as to be clothed to be not naked. The speaker made a self-contradictory statement here based on reading into scripture something that is not mentioned at all as the Bible never states Adam and Eve were clothed with the glory. Rather, the Bible is clear that it wasn't the presence of God's glory that made Adam and Eve ignore their naked state, it was the absence of sin with all its attendant shame, guilt, and condemnation. 6. At 2:10 - the speaker quotes Deuteronomy 34:5 but takes the meaning of the phrase, "according to the word of the Lord" to mean "God had to tell Moses to die...because you can't die in the glory." - If that were so, then why didn't God need to command ALL the Israelites who had been with Moses for 40 years living under the cloud of God's glory every day to die? The speaker twists the meaning of this scripture from a statement referring back to God's judgment of Moses for Moses' failure (Numbers 20:12) (Deuteronomy 3:23-28) (Deuteronomy 34:1-4). 7. At 2:10 - the speaker said, "Adam was driven from the garden, him (sic) and Eve was driven from the garden because as long as they stayed in the garden with the glory they couldn't die." - That's not at all the reason that God himself gives in the Bible gives, (Genesis 3:22-23) "He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.” So the Lord God banished him from the Garden of Eden..." Eating from the tree of life would have enabled Adam and Eve to live forever, not the glory. After making this point the speaker belatedly brings in the tree of life (as an additional subtext) but still refuses to give up on emphasizing his thesis of "You can't die in the glory." In fact, the speaker's entire premise of "You can't die in the glory" ignores (Acts 7:54-60) where Stephen "full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God" and then subsequently dies by stoning. If the speaker's thesis of "You can't die in the glory" is correct, then Stephen should not have died. Again, I was terribly disappointed and grieved by this and the Wednesday night message by this speaker. As a Zion graduate, I was taught to "preach the word" and to "study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
The Waters of Heaven. Jesus showed us that the baptism is in water. But it is the waters of heaven we are to be baptised in, being the words of God, both The Ten Commandments and the Semon on the Mount. The words from His mouths; Jesus Himself told us His Words are spirit and they are life. The Ten Commandment are the words of Jesus as Lord, and the Sermon on the Mount are those of Him as our Saviour. Both can show that we recognize Him as Lord and Saviour. The Holy Spirit, the words Breathed out from Jesus' mouth to help us overcome the world,
Many may not believe this but the Holy Spirit is the Ten Commandments kept as directed in Deut. 6:8-9.. aters of heaven. Jesus showed us that the baptism is in water, but it is the waters of heaven we are to be baptised in., being the words of God, both The Ten Commandments and the Semon on the Mount. The words from their mouth Jesus Himself told us His Words are spirit and they are life.
Look at the footnotes of the 1599 Geneva Bible Daniel 9:27. There is no 7 yr. week; Jesus fulfilled the first half. The church has had a 150 years of Levin in it's bread.

Tell the truth about who the real Jews are: in case you don’t know, they are the so called blacks in America brought here by ships as the Bible states.
I thank you heavenly father for being with me through the surgery that I had yesterday, thank you for caring for me in the precious name of Jesus Christ Amen
Thank you tiff for letting the Lord guide you now in teaching. We do need a trusted source and not all of us have access to a physical church to trust so thank you.
