Well Thanks to you I just ordered a Waldorf 2 pole..... guess what it's MONO WTF why did you even have it in your STEREO list??????? Plenty I could write but I don't want to sound like a DICK
Synthmaster 2 does have good presets, but there was stuff that didn't really work in any genre. The DnB options were also lacking despite having a whole preset bank devoted to the genre (Most of that is made with samples and post processing anyway). I don't know how anyone could use most of the features in it because the interface was terrible. Synthmaster 1 had this problem too, it was even more confusing to get deep with. SM3 looks like they loaded it with REALLY good presets and its easier to use
Feeling like Melda's turbo EQ should look way more like this lol ...this looks like the real deal. btw is there a difference in CPU use of the algo vs the convolution plugins like Acustica?
I just bought a pair, amazing monitors! However, I noticed some woofer distortion below 50Hz. I do not listen to them very loud. Has anyone encountered the same issue?
Good review! This has replaced my final mastering limiter/clipper and become the de facto loudness tool. It is a pleasure to use and sounds very nice indeed. Some updates will make it perfect (metering for one) Deserves to do well.
Of course for you it’s horrifying because you’re not a real musician. You’re a knob tweaker. Meaning your stuff is always very formula. And music generators have no hard time to create what you’re creating
Just wait till AI begins performing live through AI projections: holograms etc and later AI androids that won’t get sick or contract Covid. They can dance and perform all the greatest artists moves live. Humans are not creating music with Ai, AI is creating music with human assistance,
Rimangono, comunque, molti problemi nel separare voce chitarra e pianoforte. Ho provato con The Great Gig in the Sky dei Pink Floyd e.... niente, un ammasso di suoni... :-(
Phase Plant and Zebra are my 2 goto synths. They both allow me to build unique sound from scratch. I like to start sound design with an empty GUI and add just those modules I want to use. Phase Plant is the most user friendly synth with transparent and logical GUI and the best workflow I ever experienced.
I was about to purchase this along with Kick ninja which is an amazing Kick plugin, but thanks to your video I will pass the bundle offer and just purchase Kick Ninja.
The multiband function is great to defeat/lessen the intermodulation distortion. When you have a bass-heavy material, it tends to crap out the mid and higher freqs as well, making it sound farty, but if you saturate the frequency bands separately, then the bass saturation will have added upper harmonics, but those will be clearer, since you isolated the bass from the mid and higher frequencies, thus allowing you to push the saturation a bit further. Whereas in single mode, saturation will start effecting the whole signal in a bassheavy material, and the saturation will be uneven between the low mid and hi freqs. You can test this out, make 2 tone generators, one will be at the lows lets say 120hz and the other in the mids lets say at 500hz, put kraftur on that and open a spectrum analyzer and see what happens when you use the single or the multi mode. You should see that the harmonics generated by the distortion in the single mode are a mess, while in multi mode are way cleaner, since each band will have their own upper harmonics.
I´m a VO actor. Yes, there has been a lot of decrease in VO work because of AIs. I know colleagues who have been openly told by clients they work for that they will no longer contact them because the production department has chosen to use AI tools for their work. I also know of large dubbing studios that are considering automated AI tools for dubbing certain products. The problem is not only the voice actors. It's the actors, the sound technicians, the production assistants, the voice directors and other people. They are all behind it. That doesn't mean that human voices are going to disappear, but it is true that these tools are having an impact. Like any tool, it has its good and bad sides. The good part is that in a way, it democratises access to voiceovers for studios and companies that otherwise would not be able to afford a real actor. The bad part is that the lack of regulation is leading to cases where voice actors are cloned without their consent. And also, that many jobs are likely to disappear at a very fast rate.
i tested udio its bad if a a music producer makes music like this i can only say please guy give up your job and play football,, udio is the worst music ai i ever tested over 1month, all songs was really trash! :D i think ai never can replace bands ike chaosbay, electric callboy or slipknot it can make it anytime better but no replacement! sonu is not 10 tracks its 5 track with version A and B and sometimes it fails, the ai cant really se all prompts at 100% often the sound is a bit "scratchy" but all other music ai i every testes was much worst (without suno i can only say bye bye channel, music software is way too much complicated for me i dont wanna study and make a master only for a music tool i wanna do music for fun :D)
Bought it after 10 minutes of trial/demo (9 minutes in the manual for detail and 1 minute of testing) Absolutly great once you know what it does and use it smart (you need to have a plan and keep it functional). In two words FucKinG AweSomE ...... I use it on single tracks, groups and mixbus. You can saturate the fuck out of anything but the plugin really shines when you carefully dial in and use it in different stages of the mix. You need to make choices what to saturate and what to leave there needs to be contrast for the best possible outcome. I used it in a few projects on groups with automation on electronic music that gives motion in a subliminal way (if done subtle you can play with energy without messing up the mix which brings the track to life) Little motion over 8 or 16 bars is a real treat to the brain accentuating a segment or leading in to another segment. The plugin does things any saturator can do but the GUI is very informative and straightforward. Fabfilter Saturn can do about the same but more versatile and that can distract. Using this Kraftur plugin like a mix tool/friend changed my workflow a bit and enhanced mix creativity. The GUI just leads you to do the right things in a smart way with great result and nifty visual feedback.
I did buy it on a intro sale a couple of months ago. I tend to go to the single mode, and that sounds nice. I use it when I need to get some extra power on a bus, haven't really tested it on the master bus, but def will now. I don't know where these Soundtheory guys are from but I would guess Sweden from their plugin names. Kraft is a word used in the Scandinavian langueses about power and strength so it makes sense :)
Its ok to miss a plugin here and there. It just means you have a life :-) I on the other hand don`t so i got it when it came out. Was costing 65 euros so i could not resist
I am 100% genuine Polish and I'm pronouncing "Warsaw" in regular English manner. In Polish it's "Warszawa" and it sounds quite different, here's the sample: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Kau_hmTK04Y.html
Yep, I learned it after releasing the vid xD The price of 99 USD is valid for the time of my release, so let's say I didn't make a serious mistakle ;) Cheers, Derek!
I checked it on launch months ago... but having Full ozone advanced and Fabfilter bundles, quite a few Meldas (id say MBDynamics is closest one to kraftur) ... it feels like redundant overlap regarding multiband dynamics processors. PS. nice ride... i dont know for what reason... but most of the sou nd guys i met drive Hyundais (me included) and Volvos or maybe im just stereotyping xD
@@FoliaSound in my opinion there are a fair few plugins these days that are aimed at producers with limited experience and confidence in making the right decision- they sort of chain modules together. I rarely find them useful myself including things like tape emulation - but there is plenty to learn from this type of gear. 👍
I had enjoyed one or two of your videos in the past when I discovered you and I subscribed. so I liked the straightforward tone. As for sponsored reviews, I am still divided on the subject because I know a RU-vidr who, despite the fact that he is straight in his boots, has gradually slipped into style complacency; "It's an unpretentious plugin but it's funny or it has this little utility...", it's still honest but it offers something good every week... And in reality there is not every week an essential plugin for mixing or production. Lots of repetitions or different aesthetic packaging. After 2 years of research, I am only interested in RU-vid channels that have something different to offer. One video and half an hour is wasted quickly. So for a limited choice of plugins, which are really important: yes. Otherwise I'm leaving.
Why would anybody want to get a plug in that makes them sound like a robot? I seen a couple videos on this and they all either start or end or are completely robotic sounding? A waste of money unless you're into rap music or something
