Since Christianity is based on celtic myths its not a contradiction. To worship Wotan of old on the other hand "order/eye of Ra/huggin of old" not understand yahweh/addonai ad-one-eye" of the old testament is the contradiction. TThe bearded warrior god coming on charriots of fire dragged by two serpent dragons to act out revengde on behalf of his warrior people. There is a old time of Saturn and a new one of the Sun"son" within all religions, cultures and mythologyes. Odin is NOT Wotan and Wodan "wood/tree of life/trinity/Ankh" is the one form perfected. Alchemy from Saturns Led to the Gold of the Sun. Within the star of David lies the swastika and the one true god is of thousand names and faces but its ALWAYS the same lurking beaneath the surface ;)

@@rontimus maybe i expressed my self in a wrong way. Wotan is this gods younger warrior side, The merciless part of his psyche that favours violence instead of knowlegde. Wotan is his left eye connected to the right brain and he is Huggin "sun"like the Egyptian Osiris "evil eye" is the eye of the falcon sun god RA. God of war. Odin is a wiser elder version of the all father and his eye is the right eye aka munnin "moon" like Osiris right eye, the Healers eye is that of Horus "moon". One solves by war the other by healing and self sacrifice for the nessesary wisom needed to avoid war. This cycle of old testament war god of merciless law turning into the self sacrificing giver and healer you can see all happening all over the world again and again in all cultures. The third eye is Woden the Ankh, the cross. When the two becomes three in life. Ice and fire intermingels the water falls and so does the "hanged man" roaring as he once again fall into the world. Taking his first breath by the "spirit mist" from the water and fire becoming air. Than his "noose" cut and he is ones again back in the world after traveling the 9 worlds on the tree ;)

Very interesting ... I do think though that the original Zoroaster was actually more balanced and not at all pathologically altruistic as some might assume. Zoroaster is big on personal happiness, fulfillment, etc, as a measure of actually living a good life. It's a very optimistic, beneficent religion (which is why it has been called the good religion). The whole point of venerating wisdom (Mazdayasna) is to know how to choose so as to follow the path of asha (functional order) in service of well-being and ultimately the freshokereti. Thus, I think Zoroaster would admit that there is such a thing and even a duty of enlightened self-interest (the good or blessed 'selfishness' to which you referred). In the same way, Christianity properly understood arguably balances the interests of the self with that of the other: "love your neighbour AS yourself" presumably means what it says.
@rontimus
@rontimus 18 дней назад
Hey. thanks for watching. I think though the issue is not so much pathological altruism but rather good and evil absolutism. Nietzsche definitely has a deep respect for Zoroaster and the religion, but I think the error he is trying to correct is the moral absolutism that he viewed Zoroaster to be the first to make (and which the Jews then also made that mistake). Selfishness and unselfishness are just one manifestation of this absolutism which he is casting Zoroaster as someone to be in rehabilitation from (which is quite logical if he was the first one to make that mistake)

Nietzsche is dead, and cannot defend himself. Calling on him to defend your own position is the rankest sort of "appeal to authority". If you have an argument to make against a particular philosphical position, make it. When you say, "well, this famous philosopher would sneer at these people", you are not making an argument, you're making an unsupported, and unsupportable, statement. By the way, when you use a term like "liberal", which has many meanings, it's probably a good idea to define the term at the outset.

The love thy Neighbor Thing without the you shall also love your enemy, which is Impossible enables living in Solidaric near Anarchy as many Mountain Peasants live amongst each others. The „you also shall love your Enemies is the Point were „The Priest“ looks for the poor tortured Soul. „Gemeinwohl“ vor „Eigennutz“ was not a Socialist or a Kommunist Slogan, but a Nazi Slogan. A Slogan many Germans, in my Family too consider as a Form of higher Morale. But it means that the Individuals have to subdue themselves to their Tribe. That is not the Freedom of Peasants who help each other when necessary but the Submission under the Leader, under the Axe of the Fasces. Will to truth is not a Christian thing. I’d say in Christianity, truth is a means to uplift the materially inferior. Will to truth for pity’s sake. Will to truth is much more Platonic. Plato was very natural and earthly when he assessed the the masses and called them “cows with iron horns feeding and fornicating”. Nietzche wants to be Plato.. but even more radically naturalistic and aristocratic where even the ubermensche creates his own child like lie in a tragic drama and will to power IN MAN (as to not confuse Nietzsche with trans humanism). In Plato also however, we must remember “the noble lie” where the guardians lie to average citizens about what the world really is because they can not handle it and live knowing the truth. So I guess, in a round about way, Christianity lead to where everyone has access to truths never before known on a large scale causing nihilism.
@rontimus
@rontimus 7 месяцев назад
I think you mean Socratic, not Platonic Just to clarify, I don’t mean to say that Christianity originated will to truth, but rather that it valorized it (at least in theory) to a degree not known before. What is underestimated is the significance of Jesus not only saying “truth is good”, but rather that he WAS truth. This personification was a new level of valorization, and it subordinated all other values (at least in theory, public valorization) as a consequence
@AVMONK3Y
@AVMONK3Y 7 месяцев назад
@@rontimusWhy do you focus so much on Christianity when there are so many noble anti-priestly forms of Christianity. And when Nietzsche clearly states in GOM that the Jews are the people with the most priestly of values? And do you understand that Christianity is mostly a proliferation of Jewish ideas? In some aspects in the NT a negation of those ideas.
@rontimus
@rontimus 7 месяцев назад
Yes, Nietzsche said that the Christian is "ten times the Jew", and that's why he hated Christian anti-semites, not so much because they were anti-Jewish, but that they were anti-Jewish without being anti-Christian (which as you say is Christianity is a proliferation of Judaism, and even though contradicting it sometimes, also fulfilling it. Please see this new article that I have written: open.substack.com/pub/rontimus/p/humiliation-rituals-ie-how-to-prevent?r=2rvuja& ) The reason I focus on Christianity in this context is because I think it is not an accident that Darwinism emerged in English Christendom. As I mentioned, I think the movie "Creation" captures the ethos of the struggle of Darwin wanting to discover the "Truth", but that he did it within a christian context. And paradoxically, even though his opponents were Christians, the ethos of the concern for "Truth" came from the very place that he was now opposed to. In other words, Darwin got his will to truth from Christianity, but to give expression to that will, he had to contradict where he came from.

Hello, thank you for these videos. They are very interesting. One thing that I would point out, it's that this over-evaluation of truth is also present in other iconic film such as Matrix. The blue pill or the red pill ? In Matrix, there is this o-so-old moral prejudice that truth and it's seeking is good, courageous, the"chosen path", and that ignorance and illusions, is for the weak and the common men. But in reality, the opposite is true : most people will take the red pill, because we (the western world) still live in a world were truth and its seeking is a moral imperative. I forgot to mention, being half japanese were my grandparents were firmly shintoist conservatist, (We have our own shrine), we tend to valorize illusions and lies more than truth. If you go to Japan one day and speak to few japanese, even in english, there is still this moral obligation to lie in lots of conversations. What I am trying to say is that there are people who chooses the truth out of weakness of character, and vice versa with ignorance.
@rontimus
@rontimus 7 месяцев назад
This is a great point and that’s very interesting about your Japanese culture which confirms a lot of things for me. But the situation is extremely paradoxical, cuz Nietzsche was actually, especially in pointing out how truthfulness took over other values, ended up showing himself to be a major seeker of truth, but just wanted truth to be less vaporized generally in society (and other values to rise). So it’s not so much about living solely in illusion per se, but rather people first simply stepping back and taking issue with the Christian imperative in all situations, and to learn to love illusions and lies in various degrees (and depending on who we are and where we come from and what we want to do with our lives).
@rontimus
@rontimus 7 месяцев назад
And for those who can tolerate more truth, they can get into it more. But for those who can’t (or don’t want to), the condemnation that is inherent in Christianity needs to be consciously lifted and contradicted, if that makes sense? So truth can remain a value (to different degrees with different people), but untruth can also be variously celebrated. For westerners though, this is very disorienting, but it needs to be faced to lift the condemnation on people
@rontimus
@rontimus 7 месяцев назад
When Nietzsche said “perhaps no one has yet been truthful enough about what truthfulness is”, he was certainly getting to the point that “tell the truth in all circumstances” is of course impossible and naive as a fundamental value. “Tell the truth as you see it all the time” was a Persian/Zoroaster value (and then Jewish and then Christian) and needs to be lifted as an imperative for “all humans”. It’s just simply impossible and needs to be rejected, and people like Jordan Peterson are the main propogators of this and need to be resisted
@rontimus
@rontimus 7 месяцев назад
But regarding this video, my main desire is to end the dialectic between creation and evolution and to show that, even if evolutionists were right to some degree, they have the Christian will to truth to thank for that. And then people can decide for themselves whether they even want to be right, and this whole stupid debate can gain some perspective, if that makes sense?

National defense instead of conquest (Rome) was more important for almost a millennia. But suddenly when Americans appeared, the concept of truth seeking and science suddenly rose. This is glaring down fall of Nietzsche. He opposes justice and confuses it with absolute equality. Just imagine if everyone was the Superman of Nietzsche society, where everyone maximize their benefit without any common value. That would be no invention. There would be nothing you new, because the superman would not dare to leave his house to invent something new and improved the world, because another superman will come rob and burn his house down to maximize his position without regard to any created value. Justice is the most important virtue of society. Without society, they’ll be no room for freedom for the Nietzsche superman to create anything.
@nicolaswhitehouse3894
@nicolaswhitehouse3894 8 месяцев назад
I also wanted to tell in the other video, very well said, and in fact the prevalence of truth as the highest value has an even further origin than Christianity. In Zoroastrian religion, at the beginning of the creation of the world, two gods clashed each other, the god of truth and the god of lies, the god of truth won. That is the first time ever that the truth as the prominent value appeared. The religion of atheists, scholars and other truth seeking persons, are even before Christian, Zoroastrian. Nietzsche therefore did extremely well to chose the Zarathushtra figure, and not other Jew or Christian figure.

That is the amazing thing in this book... Albeit true that this particular reading of St. Paul is indeed in many ways "anti-evangelical" (and so it is indeed a contradiction of the tradition that I come from, for example, in many ways), I think that it is, very ironically, the fulfillment of St. Paul's writings in a sense, for this reading is, in fact, Dionysian! Particularly in how he references Heidegger actually, and the "end times", and how, contrary to "Christian" sentiments in our day that only want comfort and "help", the reality is that the "ground under your feet" is never secure, that you are always "dancing on the edge of the abyss", by chaos. So paradoxically, this (very true) reading of Paul undermines the common (comfortable) Christian pettiness of our day, and yet gets back to the true context of "dancing on chaos" that the New Testament was written in... of which the constant tribulations of Paul, in contrast with lazy modern christians of our day, actually typify.

I tried to be almost outright offensive in the other video (almost over the top), to mainly make the point of the mismatch between the German soul and the Christian faith. But ironically, after the calamity of German scapegoating onto Jews in the world wars, and then after the subsequent global guilt-tripping against the Germans for eons since then, to understand Nietzsche's warnings now in light of that calamity, is actually one of the big silver linings of the whole thing. For Nietzsche to have wanted the Germans to "become Europe's first anti-Christian nation" then makes so much more sense after seeing Germany NOT heed his warnings (and then see Germany succumb to the global guilt-tripping following their "half-measures"). Ironically, I believe... in this book I talk about in this video, the author explains how Nietzsche helps achieve this "symbiotic relationship" that you mentioned in your other comment. For the great irony is that, although Germany would have done better to have heeded Nietzsche's advice (get rid of the Jew in your soul, ie Christianity), ultimately Nietzsche himself ends up being an end time Bible prophet who achieves this "symbiotic" state. The author of this book shows, very convincingly that there is a way to read St. Paul that is VERY Nietzschean. And I have always SUSPECTED this and was trying to articulate to myself, and now I absolutely can (and will in next videos). And so now this new RE-CONSIDERATION of the German "problem" after the calamity of everything, opens up a whole new world... quite ironically... But of course, the vital thing for present day Germans, more than future, is to understand what psychologically happened with Hitler, and how the return to Odin wasn't fundamentally a bad thing, but that what was "bad" was that it was a terrible "half-measure"

And yes! There definitely is something about metal heads into Nietzsche! One of the reasons (among many others) that I don't respect too much of what Jordan Peterson says about Nietzsche is because he has no comprehension of the extreme benefits of metal, he looks at it like a deer in headlights. Being into metal is definitely a sign of being able to understand Nietzsche better

@@rontimusAppreciate the response and as you've mentioned in the video a revaluation of both christian & pagan ideals regarding their 20th century history would be required to aid the german oversoul. Shadow work at such a scale is a great, great task. On another note, a greater trend noticed is the ineptitude of half assed morals. Wether politicaly or spirituality, holding onto such disruptive paradoxes for decades induces a hypnotic, cognitive dissonance. I cant articulate it well but to borrow, again, from nietzche, it feels as if western society is living inside a gods corpse and its stench is becoming increasingly nauseating.

That is such a good way to put it, and definitely happened in the case of Germans who cowardly held onto Christianity (at least on the surface). All that said though, I’m so glad you mentioned “nausea”…. And how that results from this situation… but amazingly ALSO, this book talks about how nausea itself can be a springboard, as it is a part of the process of becoming in life in general, and so, as stifling and sickening as the situation has been, there is meaning even in the nausea, thank you for mentioning that

Perhaps you could clarify sir the political science /historical definition collectivism versus individualism for me please? As I understand one of the main differences in between the classical and modern world or the pre and post Christian world is collectivism and individualism in which far right-wing individuals or classical thinkers are collectivist and the liberal humanitarian enlightenment types are individualistic is this not so?
@rontimus
@rontimus 8 месяцев назад
I'm not sure entirely if I understand the question... but I will say that Nietzsche is fascinating to read on individualism and collectivism. It's because of him that I essentially discarded the dichotomy entirely, and now I see that there really is no such thing as an "individual" or "collective" on an absolute basis, because even the individual carries within him the collective from which he comes, while the collective is a collection of "individuals". And even when the "individual" leaves the herd or collective, he still carries within him collective out of which he came. It really is an amazing topic... after reading Nietzsche, it becomes a whole different ballgame...

@@rontimus ... Got you, still haven't found a great definition of left and right yet. As I understand it, it could be monarchy versus democracy, the classical world versus the postmodern world, circular time versus linear time, or collectivism versus individualism....... Do you have the same understanding?..... Awfully tricky to define these things.
@rontimus

From the perspective of Tom Holland, I would say they are both aspects of the Christian movement, "left" and "right" are "in-house" battles within Christendom. So within the west, "liberals" focus on the "love your neighbour" part of Christianity (more bleeding hearts, at least on the surface), while "conservatives" tend to emphasize tradition (like when St. Paul said that "if a man does not work, he shall not eat"). "Democracy" itself Nietzsche would say is a product of the Christian idea of "equality of souls" (made in God's image, therefore the idea of "human rights", which Nietzsche rejected), and then within this "democracy", there is "left and right", both arguing (secular versions) of the original (very) Christian sentiments. The distinction between circular and linear time is not so much a "left vs right" thing as much as it is a Christian vs Non Christian thing. Both left and right within "democracies" tend to assume time is linear (beginning and end as concepts clearly demarcated by the Bible), while circular time (like the Romans thought of it) is outside of Christianity and therefore neither "left nor right" (because that is a Christian dichotomy), but rather is "anti-Christian", if that makes sense?

@@rontimus very thoughtful response, and thank you for your reply sir, all I know is that I'm completely ignorant on these subjects, but I find them a fascinating puzzle..... From what I gather Christianity from the perspective of classical world is indeed a slave morality as Friedrich Nietzsche said, and seemingly the first "woke" movement,....... Whether or not Christianity/ Judaism /Abraham/(monotheism )? is a good or a bad thing overall I suppose time Will tell. But it seems to me that the conservative people would reject Christianity if they understood it to be the beginning of transgender lgbtq and so on today, if only they were aware of this continuity,....... And I suppose the far left would be in favor of it if only they were aware,........ But it's the far right who interests me the most for the same reason that it fascinates Tom Holland, it is almost inconceivable to my mind to even approach understanding the ideas of the classical world, and to hear many people who appreciate Frederick Nietzsche speak, they believe it would be a very much better world if Judaism for lack of a better word had never existed........ About that I don't know. But I do think that time May certainly be cyclical instead of linear, and I suspect that democracy liberalism and so on may be very well against human nature itself if history is any guide. Anyways sorry for rambling I'm not sure how all of this is connected or what predictive Powers it may have for the future of understood correctly , well it's late at night for me, think I'll hit the hay. At the end of the day I think I may agree that the classical world/ mononarchy hierarchy, might be better long term, but at the same time I certainly wouldn't want to give up my" human rights "gained through the Christianity and the enlightenment.. That reminds me, there's an interesting Russian philosopher you may like named Alexander Dugan. All the best, good night professor.

I think in general the thought of something being "good or bad" having existed should be rejected. Often Nietzsche criticized the Jews, but he often hailed them as well (unlike his antisemitic counterparts). And despite all his criticism of Christianity, he also saw some benefits to it, and actually viewed himself as it's ultimate "contradiction and fulfillment". Also too, instead of thinking "What is best for humanity", it's more a question of "What religion is best for this particular people group and which is not very good". Nietzsche did not want to annihilate Christianity but just wanted to unseat it's supremacy. I think for instance, Christianity is a very reasonable religion for, say, the Filipinos and others, but it's a horrible religion for the Germans (Which I think Nietzsche would have seen as the cause of the anti-semitism of the Germans, that they couldn't get rid of the "jew in themselves", ie being Christians). I think people are talking about a "great reset" for 2030 because they subconsciously know that the prevalance of the idea of "Christ crucified" (and having been adjusted to this shocking proposition) is coming to an end. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Knh9awypd4g.htmlsi=GLd4fiALEWQfayFd For me personally, I am grateful for Judaism and Christianity (I know the Bible very well) because when combined with "Thus Spoke Zarathustra" (which it references the bible all the time) it makes the Bible so much richer and amazing in it's vast sweep of history and ideas, and it's a wonderful segue now to Nietzsche and Tom Holland, and, as you will soon see, so much more.
