I have a Nash guitar now. It's just fun to have a different sounding guitar. Also, if you hate tuning 12-string guitars, this makes your life so much easier and you can pan the 2 guitars as you like to make a big spread. Just do it, you won't regret it.

ha, yesterday i said that we have to wait half a year until the portable cracked version would be available...but today it's already available. just 1 GB and it has no virus.

Phones are good for this kinda stuff, sound recording with a good app and max WAV quality settings, pop filter (attaching one myself always on the phone when I'm recording). Good for short, vacation filmmaking also with professional video apps. And everything just fits in the pocket, that's why phones are awesome and it's the best gear you can have sometimes. (Many times tho)

I'm one of those insane people with 2000+ tracks out there. Sadly I always forget PMC exists until it's too late. I really hope to get out there one day!

Naive optimistic weirdo here haha, it was so nice meeting you at the PMC talking about our amazing industry. Also thank you for having me on your channel! Lets hope laws will get in place to start having A.I. and human creativity go along side each other. The EU already started having some general rules in place with the A.I. Act but were not there yet. Even with the doom and gloom, I still remain positive that there will always be a place for original human creativity.

As a finger style acoustic guitarist, it may be naive but I believe that if your work is mediocre, your days are numbered by A.I. But if your humanity flows through your work, then I can’t wait to have an A.I. engineer called Hal that asks me how I am each morning, so all I have to worry about is doing what I love, making music. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Like I say, I may be naively optimistic, but it’s got me this far. 🤷🏻‍♂️ ‘You can’t kill the music.’ 😉🙏😎

Fine presentation, Jon! My "boss" - the owner of one of the majors in that business - based in L.A....was there. I'm sure he'll give me a thorough report. BTW - I am very happy with the VSTs I have from your company and have already put them to good use......(my checks from "Seinfeld" help pay for the ones I bought from you! 🤣)

Hey Jon, it is Preset randomization, not the Chords itself in Minute 3:21.

I think loops and phrases, as well as tools which suggest chords/notes/melodies, can be great, but (for the most part) only when used as inspiration, not used directly.

It would be a great option to be able to create folders into which you could move your libraries. This would make things clearer.

I have an Irish Bouzouki from Hora. Its the cheapest brand that makes them for a couple hundred dollars in Romania on ebay, and Ive come to find that my bouzouki is: very bright, almost thin in comparison and rather small bodied. The finish was not all applied correctly so the last layer on the neck has been peeling off in last couple years i've owned it. I made the mistake of not getting electronics on it, so I jankily installed a cigar box guitar magnetic pickup to it myself, gluing it in place. But I love the sound of my bouzouki, it has an almost banjo like quality adding to the octave mandolin character of it. People are always intrigued when they realize they havnt seen what instrument im playing before. I love cheap instruments that do their job faithfully, like my Squire Strat that is probably my most dependably set up guitar at the moment.

I can't komplain. I won K13 CE on Metapop. The upgrade to 14 was a lot of money. There is not enough in here to tempt me to go for K15 CE. Not for the money they are asking for. Throwing in Neutron Standard doesn't exactly get my juices flowing. I want some interesting instruments, something like LORES or Ashlight.

My first look, what I am missing is that I used to like the original pane on the left where I could organize instruments my own way - which is like drums, then keyboards, then other percussion instruments..... and so on. Also the pane itself wasn't very obtrusive and was easy to see. Now I can't organize, as far as I can tell, and the thing is so crowded my poor tired eyes have trouble making out what's in there. Ugh... I hope I can figure it out.

I have a Martin D-35 , Martin MMV , Martin LZ1E (Little Martin) , Alvarez Regent & 12 String , 1969 Harmony Classical . All come in handy . But right now you can find used Martin MMV's online for under or around $1k . That is a deal I don't see sticking around . These guitars are all USA made and sound great . They sound more like a D-18 . They sit in the mix well , like a nice Gibson . Some didn't like when for a few years Martin used "richlite" for the fretboard and bridge but the went back to making them with ebony the last few years before they discontinued the model .

02:25 yeah, that are those „special talents“. And even those people have to learn how to use a DAW first to bring their creativity into a track! 🙈 In my opinion: „Fred Again“ is such an incredibly gifted person! Everything he puts his hand on in terms of music, he turns into gold! 😅👌🏼 Most producers do only one genre of music, but he does so many different and everything touches your soul in some kind! He even finds small talented singers and make a banger with them which is extremely cool in my opinion! Even if it’s normally not my type of music, i like it! That just tells how great he is! Incredibly talented person! Even his live shows are incredible! 😳

When NI gets an AI interface that lets you verbally query a type of sound/instrument you’re searching for instead of having to search through them yourselves, then the massiveness of its library will finally be usable. Right now it eats up a sh17 load of time with instruments that have useless titles that tell you little to nothing about the underlying sound and often sounding so similar that you end up spinning your wheels deciding which one to use. I got more done on my old Ensoniq sampler gear with a sample library that was less than 200 instruments (still a lot of floppy disk!). I’d spend my time reworking what was sampled, adding effects, getting to the sound I was looking for, and in the end realizing that the crafting of the song itself made much more of a difference than any arrangement you pour your sweat and time into - that and a good lead vocal!

Thank you so much for this video! Can you recommend frequency settings and adjustments for low range, mid range, upper and higher upper ranges for your own (our own) synthesized instruments or when using preset instruments and you want to tweak them to better fit with eachother?

why does sooooo much of this new stuff sound wonky and stupid ... , old man syndrome, I guess. the synths on Stevie Wonders Higher Ground still cooler than most of this stuff... (that was 50+ years ago !!!) I do like the Somerville stuff !

Is Kontakt 8 buggy for anyone else? Since installing it, I’ve tried to do a batch resave in standalone 3 times and it crashed each time. I need to batch resave because the instruments are loading super slow. I’m a little frustrated with that.

I have an older guitar high strung in DADGAD, and it sounds great with full strums, and sounds really bright and sparkly for a dreadnought.

I find the High Strung guitar works great in a mix when you want the jangle and sparkle of a 12 string without competing for space with the other instruments. I was able to get an entry level Breedlove for cheap. It needed some setup work and $30 worth of Gotoh tuners but I got a cool guitar out of it!
