I can remember this mission being so frustrating when i was a kid, doing all secondary missions and beating it on hard was nearly impossible, the predator tank rush was the difference between day and night. Great content🎉
@@TheBradBerry549 Thanks! I was able to beat it only due to the "Campaign Balance Patch" mod which reverts the economy nerf in the latest official patch. You have no idea how many attempts it took until I found that mod lmao
@@TheBradBerry549 Yeah, Patch 1.09 nerfed resource gathering by 40% effectively giving you less money per load, and crates no longer build base defenses (and there were other minor changes). There is a mod that reverts that change as such a thing broke the campaign, check the link in the description of this video for the download :)
@@KaneLivesInDeath Good. All I have to do is to place them at the edge of the map. That's one glitch in the game. If you put your units at the edge of the map, your enemies can't attack it at least most of the time.
Yes, though yu can only do it if the hammerhead with the snipers stops moving. If it moves the circle for the bombardment stays where it was stationary...
In Renegade the Ion cannon used in the last missions barely damages the Temple of Nod, making a hole in the middle, and in Tib Dawn is just a big laser pointer that affects 3x3 cells. Nod's nukes should be more powerful though, but we also don't know what type of nukes they have, maybe it's just Hiroshima-like nukes and/or the GDI buildings are made by materials way stronger than whatever we have irl.
For balance, it makes sense for them not to one-shot a Construction Yard, but I do see your point. Although in the Campaign the Superweapons work a little differently, inflicting far more damage to your structures, plus the splash radius seems to be bigger. They still don't one-shot construction Years, but all other structures are pretty much done for.
@@derkatwork33 Indeed, plus in both Skirmish and Campaign, the AI uses the Superweapon on an area that does the most damage to the opponent, rather than picking a random building to fire at.
Nah, it makes sense. Other than for balance. Every commander, GDI, NOD or Scrin knows how devastating super weapons are. And that if they lose their MCV it's the end for them. So, making sure your MCV is able to survive an ion cannon, nuke or rift generator is something they all planned ahead for.
According to the Lore, there is another alien species, and there are four words translated from the Tacitus that basically confirm this. The four words are: Brother, Ascended, Enemy & Scrin. There is also confirmation that the way the "Scrin" communicate is similar to the Tacitus, but with some notable differences, and the aliens that invaded Earth mention a different alien species they call the Scrin. The in-game faction isn't called the Scrin in origin, humanity called them that as a mistaken identity, instead what Scrin refers to is this other alien species. It's unknown what the true name of ether species are called, so lets simplify it... In-game aliens: Scrin Lore aliens: Ascended There are a ton of hint in the Intel database that the Scrin and Ascended might have had a common ancestor that evolved on the same planet, plus the fact that while Scrin need Tiberium to survive, they are not immune to its mutation, meaning that the Scrin were carbon-based life forms at one point. This pretty much parallels what happened to the Forgotten, we may be seeing the Scrin's backstory unfold and never even knew it. So, it's likely that an alien species discovered Tiberium and at some point had a divide where some of the more fanatic groups started injecting themselves with the stuff, and the rest evacuating out into space. The only difference is Kane, without Kane, Nod wouldn't exist, Without Nod, the story might have gone a very different route. My theory is that if Nod never existed then Humanity would have mirrored the Scrin in some way if Earth didn't get invaded after an 'Ichor LQ detination' that would eventually happen later on because Kane was the reason why the Scrin were lured to Earth earlier than expected. I have a playlist that has Lore videos made by No Strings Prd, go to it and watch a video titles "The Tacitus, the Scrin, and the Ascended" It should be the second-to-last one listed (I would like to link it, but RU-vid doesn't allow links in comments).
@@KaneLivesInDeath That all sounds really cool and all, but dont you think its more likely that EA just didnt clean up there ''the story might go here''? It seems overly convoluted for a C&C plot that the scrin actually not the scrin but there are scrin. I did see your lore videos, but this stood out to me as well, seeing that you commented here 2 days ago, I figured I might as well ask :)
@@Woutva Well Westwood did have plans on adding The Forgotten and CABAL as DLC factions, who know if they were going to have any missions surrounding them...
I didn't really read any patch notes, but I used a mod to revert the economy and Crane changes that took effect in Patch 1.09... Maybe it does more than that? IDK, I used the mod because the Campaign is next to impossible for me without it.
@@KaneLivesInDeaththe campaign is pretty easy and some challenging missions from the 3 campaigns, but Kane's Tower is plain bullshit so i get you, when i was young it took me days of practice to beat that mission
They might have tried again after the Tiberium FPS game got cancelled. A story arc this important getting cancelled twice? I doubt budget was the main reason, they probably wanted to keep as much profit as possible, so uses budget cuts as an excuse to cut something from the game...
It's an alpha build, I can agree they're a bit too big as a controllable unit. But they exist in the 1.6 beta build too, just as neutral hostiles, though.
Engineer rushes are extremely hard for me since as soon as the AI spots the unit, they literally ignore all enemy fire to chase down and kill them... You need to put them into an APC and be careful when doing this, honestly.
@@KaneLivesInDeath not knowing the reason why, but in some levels in the game, including this one, the engineers are very fast, before they turn my base into dust/sold them, i quickly deployed 35 Saboteurs to the corner of the map, some troops and the MCV. I tricked the A.I to think he destroyed my base lol (this doesnt work in all levels) I rushed the 35 on top and started capturing their buildings (took awhile for them to notice) and created 7 venoms using the aircraft, highered their ranks to 3, killed the flame tanks and bombers guarding the temple and transported a sab to the temple outrunning stealth tanks' missles, got their HUGE army and stopped GDI, you should try it, attempt to trick A.I is fun lol
The fun fact is that the MCV counts as a unit, as long as it doesnt turn into a building or the player doesnt have a building on the map, The A.I will go guard mode
@@MysticEthereal Oh, so you can have no buildings on those missions without losing? I never had the AI destroy all my structures so the AI being less aggressive is something I never knew lmao
@@KaneLivesInDeath its just hard on hard mode 💀 they constantly attack you in most missions, so u would need to take down their barracks/factory for them to stop attacking, if you could reach their while defending
