They use their feet like air brakes and rudders, and they are powerful flight birds and lift off quite effortlessly. Love watching these birds in flight and all their relatives.
We have a one acre pond, Ten feet deep. Garter Snakes are swimming in the water with us going after the many huge Tadpoles. I didn’t realize Garter Snakes swam so well.
We have a turkey family currently, so we really love this footage showing what our mama and babies probably look like trying to settle in this evening! Thank you!
