I haven't worn them yet. The patina thunder dome doesn't officially start for a few more days, so probably the first of November I'll do a 1 month update, as long as it's not against the official rules of the thunder dome.
I was looking for American sandals. Specificaly the Bob Barker 888 prison slippers. I legit thought these were Japanese based on the name. But now I think these are the company that makes the prison slippers
Great info on the Kangol Ventair 504 cap! I agree with you on everything! Nice! Not to take reviewers, but if you or others are interested in cleaning and adding a thicker bill, brim, .I have a video on it. Cool! Ooh, these Red Wings look really slick. An even better casual boot than Blundstone, IMO. Blundy slayers more recently are the Jim Green Chelseas. Better light work boot, not as great for casual. 👍🏼
The Jim greens, are pretty much all fantastic boots, and add an affordable price. Though, when it comes to an all-around Chelsea boot that knocks Blundstone out of the water. This is by far the number one "Blundstone Killer" and I'm not the only one who definitely holds this opinion.
I did, but I sold them before I remembered to do an update on them 😅 my bad. I sold them to a guy I worked with literally the day after I reconditioned and polished them.
Probably not gonna happen buddy, they're his horse riding boots now. He wouldn't give them up for the world. I will keep an eye out, and if I come across something decent In a 9B I'll get ahold of you. Find me in the Frank's boot community page on Facebook, or find my Instagram, and contact me so I've got a way to message you.
I didn't buy this to be trendy. I got it as a gift. I heard the quality of the original Beats headphone sucked. I guess it applies to these flex too. My $15 and $20 wireless earbuds from Banggood and Temu have way better sound quality. The base sucks and the volume level is low. Not sure how long they will last but it sucks just for the sound alone.
@@ThomasSteed I once went camping with some friends and wore my Okabashi sandals, of course. I learned a valuable lesson though, they will melt to your feet if you spray bug spray all over without first removing your sandals. It's quite literally the only problem I have ever had. And, it was likely due to too many beverages causing a lack in judgement than any reflection on the sandals themselves. Haha.
@@esspyarrow8772 anyway, thanks for the comment! If you haven't subscribed, please do, I'd greatly appreciate it. Hopefully there's other content you'd enjoy on here also.
These are a 10" Wilshire in Wicket and Craig Olive Harness. Brown stitching. Antiqued brass hardware.#2 toe. Dogger heel. Medallion brogue toe cap. Outside knife pockets on both boots. Natural finish on the heel. Vibram mini lug soul. I've got Western kilties in them, but the dress kilties look good in them too if you don't want the western whiskers. They probably have the whole build specifications on file I'd assume, but if not, this should cover it all I believe.
@@djc4962 let them know you saw my videos when you decide to order, and subscribe to the channel if you haven't. I cover a lot of stuff other than just boots you might be interested in.
I can't do a review on one right now, as I don't own one. It'll be at least another month or 2 before I buy another pen or pencil. On a positive note, I've heard some really good things about that pen, and I've got my eye on a specific one, so it is a potential purchase for me coming up. I'd advise buying the pen if you're really stuck on it.
I was inspired to try making leather insoles for my leather lined hiking boots. Using a thin but highly shaped carbon fibre orthotic heel and arch support I've had for years as a basis I traced the original flimsy insole shape onto 4mm veg tanned leather purchased via Amazon and simply cut the new insoles to size from the sheet. I haven't bothered to glue the leather to the orthotics as they're shaped enough to stay in place. The leather is moulding nicely to my foot shape whilst giving robust support, not squishy and not too hard. I'm pleased with the results and it took less than 30 minutes to do the job.
I recently made a cushiony leather insert for my shoes. I just took the insert from a cheap set of slippers, and traced it. Then sewed the leather to the insert and trimmed it with a knife. They seem to fit all my shoes, and are way better than before.
I've no problem with the KJV, in fact I have a 1611 version that still has the apocrypha.... Having a KJV purest mindset is flawed, as the current KJV has been edited several times since the 1611. My favorite 2 editions are the NKJV, and the NASB, both of which were extremely meticulously translated by large teams of biblical scholars using the KJV as a base, and building on the accuracy to modern English while utilizing older manuscripts that were not discovered until after the KJV. Thank you for your comment, and take some time to use the Bible app and cross reference scriptures across several translations. God bless.
@@davidinchcliff4560 just remember a king commissioned that Bible, a man. That same man hated the Geneva 1560 Bible so bad calling it "seditious" and eventually banning it after the KJV. You have to ask yourself the question, why?
Tom makes the bag opening operation look easy. I often find that pulling the pleat as Tom demonstrates, is difficult. The bag is very sticky and doesn't cooperate with the pull. Or maybe I'm doing it wrong.
It's all in the technique. Some bags are harder than others, but if you stick to it and keep practicing, you can get it. Sometimes you have to use leverage by putting your knuckles together and prying the bag apart that way.
Well it really depends on if you want them to get darker, if you want increased waterproofing, or if your intent is for them to develop those full natural patina as you'd like.
They're better for your feet and back. Most of the hardest working men in America actually wear a shoe with a higher heel and full arch support handmade from the Pacific Northwest.
I Absolutely love KEY gear. I lucked out and got a brand new jack a few months back I'm probably going to do a video review on, but it hasn't gotten much use yet.
Thanks for the video Thomas. Did you remove the original insole and replace it with the Saphir insole? Or did you add the Saphir on top of the original.
too bad to order this to Europe it would cost me almost double, just the tax, shipping, customs. I would pay the 600 for it but 400 more for nothing is outrageous. If they had at least 1 distributor here...Also i can't find similar designs online at the same quality i'm sure there are, but more hiking style boots, since those are more popular here. And we use another cut for hiking and firefighting
There are a few guys in Europe who ordered them. I'd check with Frank's directly to see if there's a company they can distribute the order through for less than you're looking at.
