Sleeper State closes October 21 (at least in 2024, other years would probably be around the same time). If you google Michigan DNR Operating Dates you should be able to find a pdf with all the operating dates for every Michigan State Park.

Wow. What a sad spooky story. That poor kid. Laid there hurt and dying and crying and died all alone out there. I'm a paranormal researcher and I think that was that kids ghostly spirit crying out there. How awful that his dad drank like that while working and never thought to check on him while driving that thing. It was probably things like that is why they started that prohibition in the 30s. Because so many people were getting killed because of alcoholism. People were not as careful back then. That boy should have just stayed home with his mom. But I really believe that was his ghost. It had to be. It's the only explanation that makes sense. Thank you for a good ghost story. But sorry about what happened to that kid. Rest in Peace.
I agree! I believe the crying to be the ghost of that poor little boy. Who knows how long he was laying there with broken bones and not able to move. I wish I could help him cross over…
Well that made my neck-hairs rise. I stared death in the face for a long time and have seen more of it than I care to recall and I know beyond doubt there is more than we can see in our universe as well as what's outside of this realm.
