Hey Richy, amazing video - has inspired me to go this year. Just wondering if you could share some info on how much these activities / travels between places cost and how you got them arranged? Its overwhelming the info out there but I would REALLY appreciate your help! Thanks mate :)
I did everything with River junkies and scuba junkies They have different offers for each budget. I think payed something around 800 eur for the Mabul island stay and diving/snorkleing Something similar for the river and the jungle tour
Amazing video, I feel like we share the same ideology for travel. Can you give me your Instagram or some contact? I wanna travel to Borneo in January 2025 and I have a few questions about your stay
Crossing intersections in Vietnam looks like quite the adventure! Did you find it got easier as you went along? Can’t wait to hear more about your street food tour!
AMAZING video! I really appreciate all the beauty and fascination of Borneo you captured in your filming. The orangutan jumping from one tree to another is great! Ty!!!
BEAUTIFULLLL!! Did you get any permission for drone flying in the jungle or were these captures not yours? Or maybe captured when nobody see? ;) We'll be exactly there and with RJ in 2 weeks - this is why I'm asking.
Thanks! You need permission for the Danum valley and kinabatangan river for most of the spots . So there I was not allowed to fly…but at some parts nobody cares I think (nobody said anything at least)
Wonderful video, bravo, you've convinced us. Can you tell me when you shot this video? Like any self-respecting tourist, I avoid mass tourism. We're arriving in Malaysia at the end of July and I wanted to know more or less what I'd find at this time of year. If you have any booking addresses, can you tell me? Thank you
I was there in April 2023. I think in July it can be a bit rainy if I am not mistaken. I booked with River Junkies the Danum Valley and Kinabatangan and Scuba Junkies the diving/snorkeling tours
Hey we are in Borneo and your video inspired us ! Did you book a tour that brought you to the river and to Danum national park? Or did you just book the transport from the river to Danum yourself? Is Danum National park affordable?
Enjoy! I booked it with River junkies ;) Danum valley is a bit pricey as sleeping options are limited … you also need to register before going into the Danum valley (which River junkie will take care of))
Thanks :) I did the Danum valley and kinabatangan tour with River junkies and mabul island diving with scuba junkies. I can recommend both, went all smoothly.
nice video! we are traveling vietnam with our drone for 3 months and capture some remote places too! happy to see you liked your trip! excited to see more!
Going to Vietnam in May which will be an even 12 visits. First in 2001 and last in 2018. I loved the beautiful and evocative images you gave us plus the shots of your girlfriend walking away from the camera. But I will say your images show how much Vietnam has grown. In 2001 there was not a coast road to Hoi An which had gravel roads and not a bridge over the Thu Bon River.
As others have said already, beautiful vlog of Borneo. This year i wil visit Borneo. For our itinerary we are looking for ways tot travel from Sandakan to Mabul. How did you travel tot Mabul? Any tips and or suggestions are much appreciated.
Thanks :) I booked the diving/snorkeling tour on marbul with scuba junkies, this included the accommodation on the island as well as the transfer by boat from semporna. I went straight from Danum valley to semporna with a private shuttle, but if I am not mistaken there should also be a public bus going from sandakan all the way down to semporna
Beautiful video and super helpful to get an idea what to do and see on Borneo. Do you have a company you recommend for the Kinabatangan river tour and eco-lodge?
Hello, so beautiful! I've read that you went in december. Since it says on the internet that December is a very wet and rainy month to visit Hoi An, how did you organize for that? Did you check the weather before going? Did you have a plan A and plan B?
Thanks! We didn’t had any rain in Hoi An and also did not had a plan B. As far as I can remember is it also more dry season as you go south of Vietnam. Only north Vietnam can get cold at this time of the year
Wow amazing video !!! I am heading to Borneo soon and I am going to follow your itinerary. I wanted to ask what company did you used for Kinabatangan River experience and Danum Valley?
Hi Richy, thank you very much for sharing this incredible video. It's truly inspiring! I wanted to ask you about how you managed the journey from the jungle to the beach. You mentioned two agencies, River Junkies and Scuba Junkies. Could you share how you arranged the transfer between Danum Valley and Mabul Island? Did these agencies provide the transfer services? Thanks a lot :)
Thanks a lot :) The transfer was arranged by River Junkies. They took me from Danum Valley to Semporna by private shuttle (which I shared with two others). If a private shuttle is too expensive (I think it was like 100 USD) you can also take a bus from Lahad Datu (closest town to danum valley) to Semporna. From Semporna you will take a boat to Mabul Island which was already included in the price of the tour i booked with scuba junkies.
