Thank you for this fascinating glimpse into the very distant past. Despite the primitive quality of the recording, we can still enjoy a rather fine interpretation of the famous aria, including some trills.

La voz y sonido de tenor, es este tenor aunque no se publicitó Un tenor muy especial, tenor lírico ligero de gran calidad. Tengo una grabacion de una canción en español y tiene 4 c v, fué un tenor que debió tener grabaciones de todo género y hay poco material de este gran tenor.
A really good interpretation. Lauri-Volpi writes in his book that he takes the high F with a full voice. But it must be said that this note is unnatural for a tenor. Much earlier (in Rubini's period) ultra-high notes were taken by the soprano's voice. The tenor-altino is completely different: Calpigi (Salieri's "Tarare"), Astrologer (Rimsky-Korsakov's "The Golden Cockerel"), Arithmetic teacher (Ravel's "The Child and the Magic"), District Elder (Shostakovich's "The Nose").
Siempre una sorpresa para muchos, @LuigiBassi y su gran colección de cantantes de ópera y éste tenor, emite un fa de pecho muy bien apoyado sabiendo la dificultad para alcanzar esta nota. Notable interpretación de este tenor lírico.
