Hello! I see that you had supper one night in the Amalfi dining room... the one in the back of the ship. I know they all serve the same menu, but did you think that one of the actual dining rooms seemed any nicer. Amalfi looks a bit brighter, without that 'busy' pattern in the carpeting.
We did a 7 night - Princess Cay, St Thomas, San Juan. We were not bored on a 7 day. Plenty of live music around the ship, always have some games going on around the ship, of course the pools. Shortly I will post in reply a copy of one of the days activities
I have cruised with Holland America 6 times. My last trip on the Eurodam (21 day panama canal) 10-08-2022 was a nightmare from beginning to end. Funny, my trip before this was circle Hawaii (Eurodam) and it was lovely. HAL advertises that SAFETY is important to them. On the 9th day of the cruise, I tripped on a raised floor tile in the LIDO injuring my left foot/ankle. It was documented. The hospital was closed from 10am to 2pm. I was told to call at 2pm for an appointment. The cabin boys brought me ice and said to elevate ( I did that for 1YEAR). The hospital onboard took x-rays and said it was a sprained ligament. They billed me for the charges. They sent a security man who took pictures of my shoes, deemed suitable, not sandals or flip flops. Customer Service never helped me or responded to my complaints. An insurance adjuster contacted me over 6 months later re: the (incident - their words) accident. After 15 months HAL sent me a check from Princess for $5,000.00. I never agreed to this amount and have not cashed the check. I have requested HOW they came to this amount and no response. In addition, the cabin we got was totally unacceptable, smallest I have ever seen. We were not moved until 10:30pm the second night. This new cabin had a broken cabin door LOCK which took 3 days to repair (all new). The "have it all" pkg, wifi, texting and TV never worked properly. After we sailed past San Diego the A/C did not work! They said the ship was from Alaska and they had trouble changing from heat to A/C. They sent a staff member to check and told us that the temp was 37C (100)!!! They NEVER did get the A/C to work. We were not alone w/no A/C. Many cabins were without it. They charged us for water. We complained and were told to get CANS of water at the closest bar. Due to the broken A/C my oxygen level was impaired and when I got off the ship and went to my Dr, the x-rays showed water in my lungs (congestive heart failure). Could it get any worse? YES! An MRI showed 4 fractures, torn tendon, collapsed arch, etc. This insurance adjuster and I went round and round. My last contact with him was 2-8-2024. I am in pain every minute. I have had numerous DR appts, 3 ER visits, 2 boots, 3 braces, numerous compression attire and orthopedic shoes.I have been told by 3 DRs (my primary, orthopedic surgeon and podiatrist) that my foot cannot be repaired. HAL TAKES SAFETY VERY SERIOUSLY. My advice to all passengers DO NOT TRY TO BE NICE get an attorney for any and all problems.

It started out rocky .....MSC had a glitch in the system lost 200 reservations had to wait in 2 different lines about an hour each before getting on the ship......then our drink package or wifi didn't show up had to wait in another line at guest services for another hour we were told it was fixed then over to the wifi line it was fixed.....however my daughter was still being charger for all her drinks .....had to stand in line again at guest services to fix that .....we were 2 hrs late setting sail due to one of those Florida storms but once we set sail it was all good.......food wonderful at the dining room and the buffets
Dining was different in respect to the dining times. If you choose early between 5:30 and 7:30 - MSC will assign 5:30 or 7:30. This is same for last dining. Other than that there wasn’t much difference
Pier 60 had a double decker area at the end back in the day. We used to dive off it. I would jog from dunedin causeway to Clearwater pier 60 and spent the day, then run back. Back then it was barefooted runs. Camping on bay islands, keg parties on the Dunedin Causeway and Dog Beach... Dunedin wasn't such a tourist trap then. More a local thing. Dunedin High ruled the Causeway on Friday nites. Ahhh those were the days...

We have been on Koningsdam and Rotterdam the past three cruises. But we are looking forward to Eurodam for our next cruise. While the newer ships have better music walk, they screwed up the promenade deck by putting tenders on it. We really look forward to a much better deck with deck chairs and unlimited views.
been on over 86 cruises - many on holland - use to live in florida 27 years so many ports to choose from. currently arizona since 2020. missed japan and south america in 2020 have been to hundreds of countries. we stay in the fairfield inn when back in florida or traveling. we are eurodam this month to alaska (had been in 2013) a free repeat from credit during covid. enjoy! will be visiting family fort lauderdale june 1. off to europe this year again for a month to see family. enjoy your cruise.
It is about 15 minutes from Magic Kingdom As for a car Orange Lake offers a shuttle around the resort, not to parks. Remember if you get a car you will also pay for parking at the parks or you could use an Uber
