I was in a fish and chip shop a few months ago. It was in the daytime though and there was a middle aged couple and a guy in his 20`s all looking towards the counter waiting to be served. I was looking out the window and a police car just happened to go screaming past with all blues and two`s. Quick as a flash and absolutely dead pan i did Eric`s classic gag i think as best i could. I just came straight out with it off the cuff. Well , everyone was just cracking up. And i simply finished with "and that`s a classic Eric Morecambe joke". That started a conversation about Eric and Ernie. All these years later since i watched them on tv. I`m smiling as i`m typing this.
The next sketch is good where he is own kitchen but only swears when he knows the cameras are on. When he doesn't think anyone is watching he is all polite.
Yes it was from a comedy sketch show called 'Monkey Trousers' in 2005 on ITV. It ran for only one season of five episodes, but it had some great names in it including; Alistair McGowan, John Thomson, Ronni Ancona, Mackenzie Crook, Griff Rhys Jones, Neil Morrissey, Vic Reeves, Bob Mortimer, Marc Wootton and Steve Coogan!
@@schmergenz Thank you ever so much for getting back to me! The show looks amazing. I love these absurdist sketch shows! I always love finding new ones. Again, thank you much!
You are correct my friend, it is John Thomson, a comedy actor from Salford who also starred in the hit series 'Cold Feet'. Unbelievably there are idiots on here that think this obvious comedy sketch is real!! 🤣🤣🤣
This , "Don't tell him Pike" (Dad's Army), & Del Boy falling through the open bar (Only fools & horses), superb comedy timing. They always make me smile. xD
@@kryptonitespider-bitedynam7305 I think that this is staged cause while shooting if the person goes off script, then the director of the person in charge cuts the shot !!
