Legendary POWER ASHIAFA. He was born/lived in Adopke Street, and I grew up in the next Street of Iye-egbo Street, Uruto Community, Ozoro. The Moon Shine Band led by Mr. Power Ashiafa, was consisted of the following members: Mr. Ghandhi Enerho, Mr. Josiah ?, Mr. Gordon Ekaba, Cherami, MS. Akaruse Akudo, and Mr. Omakumue. I personally knew them all as young fellows in their prime(s). Even his wife, Mrs. Charity Ashiafa, Mr. Daniel Ashiafa (son), late Mr. Peter Ashiafa, his elder step-brother was my headmaster at then Roman Catholic Mission Primary School Ozoro, in the early 70s. And the following brothers: late Mr. Omudu Ashiafa, Mr. Ujiro Asiafa (alive), Mr. Akintoye Ashiafa (alive), Architect Michael Ashiafa (my classmate-alive), Mr. Berkley Ashiafa-alive, Fidelima Ashiafa-deceased, MS. Agnes Ashiafa-deceased, Bridget Ashiafa-alive, etc., all of them I know personally. GREAT to hear the voices of the aforementioned phenomenal personalities of the Moon Shine Dance Band far away here in the United States. I am 100% Ozoro indigene, with my Ozoro blood 100% unalloyed. I am a very proud Ozoro born. POWER, your music will live on FOREVER! RIP.
