I'm waiting for delivery of a bully 2, I have a pair of fusion pros to put on it and will run for now on my G7p, I'm fairly sure I can set up mixes to give me dig and variable overdrive.
The fusion pro is a great bit of kit, bit big for this rig tho. I went with the Holmes hobbies br mini dual esc and it’s great. I’m also now using the G7p but it’s not working out that well. Best of luck with your build tho buddy and thanks for the comment.
The V2 Kraton came with a short battery tray which often ejected the battery on a hard landing. I fitted the longer one to try and address this. The longer one is better but still occasionally looses the battery.
That looks like an awesome build. I've been wanting to get that Injora LCG chassis, but haven't pulled the trigger on it _yet_. I have the longer version of this motor in one of my rigs, the 3542 1850kv, and it's not very noisy at all. I have it paired with a Rhino 80A ESC though. I'm pretty sure outrunners are pretty noisy with that Castle system. The Rhino is an amazing crawler ESC, with super low speed modulation and plenty of pep when needed - and it's not very expensive. If you want to see it in action, Crawler Canyon did a review of the 9imod outrunner with the Rhino ESC.
Yea I was planning on trying one of those rhino esc but the castle could run 4s which was better for my direct power servo. Wish I’d gone with the rhino now tho. The fusion is awesome but it’s really big and heavy so I might go back to an outrunner at some point.
@@MrBladebloke I've never tried the Fusion, but it does look very nice. :) I have the SCX10 version of the Injora LCG chassis on the way, along with some other goodies, and I'll be moving my Rhino and outrunner over to that chassis as soon as it arrives, and I get it built. As for the Rhino 80A. That ESC is can take up to 8S batteries, which is pretty nuts. I run mine at 3S, as that's the most S's I have. It also sports a 10 amp, 8.2V BEC, which is really cool. :) Not too long ago othey also released a 40A Rhino ESC. That one can take 2-4S, and has a 3.5A 8.2V bec, which is far better than most, but not quite as impressive as wth the 80A version.
Cool stuff man, have a similar monster truck build at the house and an ultra4 buggy inspired build coming along. If you wanna be able to get up that wall I might recommend taking the foams out of your tires if you have them in, to get better grip. What I've done with my buggy build is mounted my shocks lower and shortened my springs, so the frame sits tight to the axles. Lower center of gravity. If it still tips backwards and flips, wrap a rubber band around the axles and frame to make living straps, so you can get all the flex but no ride height travel
Thanks for the tips bro. Tyres do have foams but they are super soft so I’ll probably leave them in, definitely need to do something about the suspension though, I’ll play about with it.
not sure I get the message but holy shit this thing rocks in 14:10. same in 13:18, those big wheels are a killer. Do you think it will survive a brushless system? I reckon it can be a cheap axial raft competitor with cheaper parts right? How is the durability? I saw the shaft snap. Is that something that happens a lot?
On my gspeed I’m still working on. But has some vids up without body, I had to do a lot of shock fiddling with inside outside etc etc. Really dig the way you approaching the issues!! Big sub buddy!! Check me out sometime!!
Man so many nice chassis out there!! Hard part for me when I wanna gonbidget on a lcg is the axles, trans, tires....those pieces for me are hard to go cheap on. But a lcg chassis even gapeed just in g10 which is very strong and spend not that much money relative to Just a rtr crawler of good quailiry . Sorry to ramble great video freaking sweet build big sub! Check me out sometime!!
Any updates or upgrades? I recently added a Holmes Hobbies dual ESC, a Futaba 4PM transmitter, and an HH direct powered servo. The Bully2 is such a blast now! Really pricey but worth it to take full advantage of the MOA Definitely worth it. Cheers!
